Doesn't he already have a topic? Either way though, #1 player in LA and likely #1 DE in the country

Hard to say who will be #1 in LA with beasts like this:

Rasco DE
Anthony Johnson DT
Kenny Hilliard RB
Jarvis Landry WR
La'El Collins OL
Jeremy Hill RB
Bradley Sylve WR

insane at the top for 2011

That incredible production is what has already earned Rasco verbal offers from Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M and UCLA. On September 1, official offer letters are allowed to come in for the class of 2011. Rasco has at least one more program that he is expecting to see in his mailbox. There are also a few more that he is hoping to see.

"Tennessee sent a letter to my head coach and they're going to offer me on September 1," he said. "I'm just enjoying the process and taking it slowly. I'm not in a rush to make a decision."

If we got him I'm pretty sure LSU fans heads would explode, probably not going to happen though. Top DE in the country for 2011.

Still has UT in his top 5

From ESPN: "I'm really not too sure about a certain order," Rasco said when talking about his favorite schools. "But I'd have to say Texas, LSU, Alabama, Tennessee and probably (Oklahoma)."

"From the beginning of the process, I really haven't gotten any love from USC," said Rasco. "I go into the office at school today, and I see I have a letter from USC. I'm like, 'Is this for me'?

"As I read it, the letter said I will be receiving a full offer. I mean, wow, that's amazing. I don't take any of this for granted. It's not an everyday thing to walk into the office and a top school like USC offers you a scholarship."
"But I guess coach Kiffin and coach Ed - who was my recruiter at Tennessee - still like me. I talked to coach Ed one time on the phone, and he just introduced himself to me. He said back at Tennessee that I had an offer and that they were going to be watching me this year.

"When they were at Tennessee, I'd get like three or four letters from them everyday."

Rasco, a three-time Class 2A All-State selection, helped Evangel to a 14-1 record and state championship over John Curtis. He registered 86 tackles and 10 ½ sacks to increase his career total in sacks to 41 1/2.
That is a lot of tackles for a DE. He will be at LSU's junior day this weekend

"Football can be gone within a blink of an eye," Rasco said. "One day you're going to have to hang up your shoes so I'm stressing that I want to get my degree out of whichever college I go to."
Smart guy.

Rasco was visited by UTs staff this week, most likely Joseph. Bryant said that his Louisiana contact said the visit went extremely well.

This guy would be huge addition. Maybe Wilcox can use the pitch for him to be a linebacker in his 3-4 scheme. He seems to be somewhat interested in the possibility of playing LB in college.

Does UT have a legitimate shot at this guy?? He sounds like an animal.....having him, CMiller, and JSmith would be unreal.......

Hubbs mentioned in the WR tonight that Tennessee is still pushing here & the staff feels like they are growing on him.
