Man you guys won't let this die will you. If it makes you feel more comfortable, a family member of his told me he's a Vol. Same one that said it was a UT/USCw race with UT winning out. The VFL program was a big factor in his decision. Now go to bed, Santa on his way with our presents on the morning.

As many as they want depending on whether or not the PAC-12 has rules restricting the amount of oversigning allowed.
I wonder if the staff told him that who ever signed 1st between he & Maggitt would get the last LB spot.So I come on here, and see Dawson signed with USC. I was pretty shocked and disappointed by that. I'm not going to trash the guy, it's his decision, but wasn't he saying for a long time that distance was a factor? I'm just curious as to why he chose USC.
I think 31. There's still a 25/year limit for everybody right? They signed 19 (I think) last year so they can back count 6. Now if the appeal fails, USC may only be able to sign a single-digit class next year.

Three choices, three huge negative factors. Seems likely that he eliminated UK because he didn't feel like it would help forward his NFL aspirations, at which point he was down to USC, where distance was a negative, and UT, which he was under intense pressure not to pick by the homefolks. Distance turned out not to be as big a negative factor as having to stand up in front of everybody in his town and tell them he was spurning UK for the Great Orange Satan to the south.
:devilsmoke: That seems to me to very possible. I saw that the city was awarding him with everything but the keys to the city before the announcement. What's up with all that? It would have been a huge slap in the face if he would have picked Tennessee. Hence, I think he chose the lesser of two evils and went as far away from Kentucky as he could get.Three choices, three huge negative factors.
