'11 KY LB Lamar Dawson (USC)

Sadly, as somebody obsessed with recruiting, I have been following the thread since its very first pages, and I'm pretty sure I've seen most everything Dawson has ever said to the services about his recruitment. He's never been quoted as saying "Oregon is too far" - if he had, it would be totally ridiculous for him to continue listing Oregon in his list of favorites.

Why would he want to go play for Oregon? You guys only beat us because our freshman starters wore down in the seconf half and we had to put the scrubs in and you lost to an Auburn team that played its worst game of the year. I think he wants to play for a team that actually has a BCS championship sitting in its trophy case beside all the other championships.

I seem to have forgotten. What year did you guys win the National Championship?

No offense, but you're delusional. Oregon wiped the floor with us. Join me back here in reality.

i still hope tennessee can land dawson but i was just over on espn.com and they were talking about the best remaining uncommitted players and where they would go and what they said ,and just like on volnation that dawson was looking about even with uk and the vols, and that we were the clearcut leaders for marlon lane cause clemson, didnt want him to visit vols and espn said he would be in orange and it would be tennessee orange, and incase dawson stays in state that we are team to beat for tiny leading for meggitt ,he was deciding between flordia and somewhere else, then his visit to knoxville was as good as possible without a pcommit, and we are in the final two or three for rb buck allen, and great chanch for mickey johnson and fulse.with the commits we have plus if espn is right and we get antonio richardson, marlon lane, maggitt.cam clear.that would be 25.and if we could get.either fulse, buck allen, dawson, wright,or mickey johnson or another solid player of need

Had a real hard time understanding....

Unfortunately football is a 4 quarter game.

what part of "until our scrubs came in" is hard for some of you people to understand. I made a very clear statement that our freshman hung with them until they got tired. I did not say we would have beat them. Some people need to learn how to read.

You need to learn that your point is meaningless. We got beat 48-13 at home. That's what matters.

Is this guy really going to go to KentuckY!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Hopefully this guy realizes his best shot at the pros in UT.

Unfortunately, I don't agree with that. With all the TV coverage, beat reporters, and websites these days, he can go to a Div. III school and make it to the pros. Players from all leagues are known about a lot more these days IMO.

Nonetheless, I really, really hope he chooses UT.

GBO!!!!!

2 out of 6 recruiting analysts (Chris Nee, and Keith Niebuhr) say Dawson to Tennessee, 4 others say KY. Sorry if posted.

He's crazy if he pick ky over ut. i don't want him if he's that retarded!

Calm down man. We definitely do want him and he is not retarted. He has love for his state school (UK) just as we have love for our state school (UT). Nothing wrong with that. Players can still make it to the NFL playing on bad teams so picking KY isn't necessarily going to hurt him in the wallet down the road. I think he will end up being a Vol, but if he picks KY there is no reason to call him mentally challenged.

+ lots of pressure from his family and hometown. If we can flip grandma, it's a done deal. IMO

a well-reasoned, mythotical response...
