"I had so many schools, they ask me questions as far as desire," he said. "I wanna make sure I play with the right coaching staff that's gonna improve me. I feel like I can fit any scheme, it's just the coaching staff. I feel like my athleticism and my strength is what's gonna get me by."

"The first thing (I look for) is the coaching staff," Williams said. "That's one of the most important things is the coaching staff has to fit me and the playing style. I'm a player who likes to attack the ball and make plays. Then, just an opportunity to play right away. That's one thing that I really look into."

Said he was suppose to take a visit to UNC but with Blake resigning he changed his mind.

Although Williams hasn't talked to the Vols personally yet he has been receiving letters and mounting interest from Tennessee. He said he would be open to listening to the Vols because he has some knowledge about the program.

"From what I know it's a great program. I've actually had coaches sit me down and ask me what are some of my top schools and I actually mention Tennessee as one of them. It would be a place I was actually interested in seeing what they had to offer," Williams offered.

"Then, I watch them on TV, I know players that have gone to the NFL that they've had like Dan Williams. I used to watch Dan Williams a lot last year and I kind of compare myself to him. I actually have been on their website to see what players they have coming back and stuff like that."

Sounds like we've got a good shot if we decide to offer. UNC, Nebraska & a ton of other Big 12 schools have offered.

Great story behind him too...

Only played football his Sr year of high school, graduated, got a job in a factory, then decided to give college football a shot after a year in the factory. Tried out at Coffeyville & has now worked himself into being a legit D1 prospect.

3.2 GPA as well.

With this being a position of NEED, I am wondering why we haven't been after him. If he wants to be in a program that will prepare him for the next level, he'd be getting the coaching needed in Smith and Wylie.

With the two we got now? That would be 6 right? Do we have the room to fill the rest of our needs?

DT is our need!! If the players are good enought to play now I'll take 4 more.

Doubt it will happen, more reasonable scenario is 1 JUCO DT & 2 High School DT's to finish out the OL.

If I were the UT HC right now considering the recent history of UT and DT recruiting... I'd take 8 quality commits if I could find them.
