Couch will be our best DL this year and likely our best player on defense.
Sidenote: My recent hate for Vandy didn't come from Franklin running his mouth or the pitiful Nashville media, but from that dirty a$$ play by the Vandy OL "man" going for Couch's knee from behind.
No doubt that crap was coached, and I was happy it was caught on national TV. Then Franklin has the hypocisy to go out and talk crap about the locker room video. What a turd (Franklin and his OL "man").

Possible DT roster in 2013:
Seniors--Couch and McCullers
Juniors--Greg Clark, Allan Carson, Ben Bradley
Soph or R-Fr--Danny O'Brien
Frosh--Rod Crayton (I hope)
That could be the most depth I can ever remember at defensive tackle. Maybe not as good as Henderson and Haynesworth as starters, but deeper.

I don't know about that. Fulmer had some loaded D-lines. I remember when Tony McDaniel was a backup and still was drafted in the first 3 rounds.

i love it. dude is a very good friend of mine and has worked his ass off to be in this position. i try to stay on top of him and get after him when need be, but he is a special guy and a wonderful family man to his wife and daughter. i'll be rooting for this kid for the rest of my orange life. book it.
We essentially have 3 DTs on the field in a 3-4.Under Fulmer, we played a 4-3, so a 5-man rotation equaled a 1st string, a 2nd string, and one more player who could give some minutes. Then we usually had a redshirt freshman who would see some playing time, but wasn't in the rotation. And a true freshman who would likely redshirt. This is if we recruited right.
When we play a 3-4, we only have one DT in the game, and we have just as many DT's as for a 4-3, so it suggests to me that we are deeper. I know we won't be in a 3-4 all the time.
As far as the total number of people ready to play next year at DT, I think we should be in fantastic shape.
