'11 JUCO DT Maurice Couch - UT Commit

A mod on InsideTennessee.com said one of the visitors for this weekend's game told him if the visit went well he would commit.

Anyone wanna bet it's NOT Mo Couch?

Of course it is Couch. He already stated that he could end up committing before December 1st and that he's already made up his mind.

I hope its someone else because I think Couch will commit when he gets here.

I know he's almost certainly the one. I was just holding it out hope it could be one of the other big names that would surprise us.

I'm sure this has been answered somewhere in this thread, but how many years of eligibility does Couch have? 2 or 3?

3 to play 3

Thanks, LV. I don't know why, but I was assuming he had 2. I'm really excited about this guy coming to UT. Linemen never get the love they deserve on message boards.

If we could pull Couch AND Gabe Wright, we'd be set. Those are the two guys I want most in this class, followed by Tiny.

Anybody know about how his grades are and if he has pass/or has a shot of passing that god forsaken math class.... Because if this is John Brown 2.0 I may cry..

DL Maurice Couch (6-3 290) of Garden City JC, KS will take his official visit to Tennessee this weekend. He's also visited USC and shortly after the trip to Knoxville he will make his decision. "I'm going on the visit to see how the school is before I make my decision," Couch said. "I'll make a decision within a couple of weeks. I'll look at the pros and cons of both schools. I still have high interest in South Carolina but I haven't heard that much from them." Couch said Tennessee is out front but he doesn't plan to commit this weekend. He previously said he would take another unofficial visit to USC when he was home in Tampa for the Christmas break but he doesn't plan on that now.

Looks like UT is the team for him but might wait to announce. Apparantly USC is backing off many players because of very few spots left and this might be the reason for Couch.

Couch set for last visit, decision

I dont put any stock into Kornblut, in the last month he has said Martin & Coleman wanted to be gamecocks.

The math class isn't going to be a problem. i think LWS or Hubbs said he already had it out of the way.
