Yeah... I'd think that the chemistry existing between him and the coaching staff would be most important, but maybe we can show up to play these next two games. :crossfingers:

hey i know this isnt news but i saw some guy on fb (plays for a community college against Crouch's) and he said something along the lines of wow UT wasted a scholly on that DT... referring to Crouch... ( after their game, dont aks me how i found him...) i still belive he's an absolute stud but just wondering what this crap is about ? what went wrong?

A good rule of thumb: Ignore anything and everything on Facebook when it comes to recruiting.

You think how nice the sorority and frat houses are has ANYTHING to do with where a football player wants to go to school? In the south for that where those social groups are notoriously racist?

Let me fill you in on what a typical college recruit means when he likes the campus:

1. Stadium- I would put Neyland up against any other stadium in the country. This is not arguable especially after the recent addition.
2. Practice and work out facilities- ditto
3. Housing- Gibbs in ok for Freshman year. Volunteer Hall where most of the football team lives after freshman year is extremely nice for free on campus housing.
4. Food- Gibbs dining hall is well above average.
5. Girls- they are hot ones everywhere and Tennessee is not excluded.

I have personally sampled all of the above for 4 and half years and have no concern when I hear a recruit say they are waiting to make a campus visit.

Frat houses....haha....you frat boys crack me up.

Agreed. I've been to Columbia; it's ugly. Not sure if the abundance of frat houses makes it any better. Frats are lame where I come from anyway. :popcorn:

i also have been to tuscaloosa and it is an awcul place ,i went there instead of a class reunion in the 90s cant remember the year a
so watched them play at legion field,auburn was an alright place i was there to watch a game while i was at fort benning for basic training and ranger school,also have been to south carolina ,and watched tennessee beat kentucky ever year from from the mid 80s to the
late 90s and vandy and purdue,and a few others but i dont think im being biased but,ut is heads above every place i have been ,and with the new upgrades to neyland and TBA,and the rest of the sporting complexes and practice facilities ,and the city and local area from chattanoga to cumberland gap and from gatlinburg to the cumberland plateau ,it is the most beautiful area with lakes rivers and valleys and something none of the rest have mountains ,unless your in a hole and your looking up out of the hole your in and knoxville doeant have the much non violent gang,actually the only gangs i have ever saw was a bunch in christenbury heigts ,knoxville is the best place in college atheletics and for students

Dont get too upset that Couch wont come to us. Think of it this way.....

He committed to us without being on campus AND right after South Carolina's biggest wins in school history. Couch is going to make a visit here then decide.......Hmmmmmmmmm I wonder where he will go?

Word up. Let's hope he has shut down his recruitment and is just waiting to come and make it official for papa. The whole episode last week is like putting blood in sharky water. Ereybody gonna be hittin' him up trying to get him to change. Just sit on it Couch... just sit on it.

I thought Dooley has said in the past where he didn't like kids to commit without first meeting them in person and having them to campus. However, I think DE recruit Juda Parker committed without seeing campus but not sure. Anyhow, hopefully that is what is going on with couch unless SCjr coaches called him after his verbal to Tenn and made a more serious push....time will tell.

Hubbs reiterated today that Couch is All-Vol & plans on taking the math class required by the SEC.

Things could change obviously, but as of right now you can go ahead and add him to commitment list.
