'11 HI OL Paulay Asiata

Seriously, you're gonna go there, huh?

I've tried to stay as professional as possible, and I understand you have your own opinion, but please take a simple look at the facts before you go and and say that Paulay is "less than" these guys.

What are you basing your opinion on? If you are going off mere stats you can do a simple search on Scout.com and see that what you wrote is completely not true...Scout.com has Paulay ranked 14 and what is Cameron Clear's rank, oh yeah he's 18th...If you are basing your opinion on camps, then heck yeah I'm sure these guys have been to a heck of a lot more camps than Paulay, and why? Maybe it's because he lives 3,000 miles away in the middle of the frickin Pacific Ocean- maybe his single parent father doesn't have the finances to fly him all over the country to get him all the exposure that these 2 other recruits (who live in your backyard- 1 in Nashville and 1 in Memphis) have...have you ever thought how interesting it is that they have Paulay ranked #14 and he hasn't even been to the mainland??? Paulay is completely underrated because of lack of exposure, if anything!

 Git'em Girl.

I understand about the finances to be able to travel. I would like to take the family to Hawaii but I just can't afford it at the moment so I can assume it would be just as difficult for someone in HI to come to the main land.

I wish both of these young men much success. I would really like UT to take both of them if I had my say.

TN girl, trust me, there are a lot of people not happy with this decision, but at the end of the day, a coaching staff has much better resources and analysis abilities than anyone here. It sucks to hear, especially because guys from Hawaii have such a successful track record in football. The coaching staff has it's reasons for doing what they're doing, and I hope them the best of luck. In terms of UT's interest, this is possibly good news because they are making room for players - players they believe to be better, quite frankly.

Oh My, Scout has Clear ranked lower than Asiata, tbh your argument is garbage, I wasn't strating anything with my post but if you want to start this I'd love to prove you wrong.

Cameron Clear and Antonio Richardson are better prospects that Paulay, no need to take that the wrong way, however they just are

fwiw: Rivals and 247 have Clear and Richardson above Asiata

Well then let's be honest. If Paulay were to get an offer, would he commit on the spot? Because if he's as good as you say he is, then I doubt it because he'd be waiting for other offers. With our limited scholarships, and the need to get players that will play immediately, we can't take chances. Getting these guys in our own backyard seems much more likely.

As for Juda, I'm disapointed that he has been asked to de-commit. Maybe the staff jumped the gun with the offer, and after watching film, decided it was better to go in another direction.

I wish nothing but the best for both of these young men, but it's obvious it will not be on Rocky Top.

MY "argument" is garbage??? :post-4-1090547912:

I'm not the one on here making ignorant statements like "Richardson > Asiata / Clear >Asiata" and solely basing my opinions off mere websites- I'm not the one on here saying that Paulay is "greater than" anybody else- I'd be an idiot to do so when all the info I have on certain players is coming from rivals.com and 247-when both of which don't even have current/correct basic info on Paulay...

And who are you to say Paulay is "less than" these guys or anybody else for that matter? Have you seen Paulay in person? Have you even been to even 1 of his games? -and what's the deal with "proving me wrong?" once again, I have never and will never say that Paulay is "greater than" anyone else- you, sir, are the one making those statements...I have nothing to prove to you or anyone else for that matter...Paulay's talent speaks for itself and doesn't require anyone to "prove it..."

If you wanted to note that rivals and 247 have him ranked lower, then say just that- don't go and say that he is "less than" them, because sir, you are not the judge of that and you sure as heck, do not have the resources and knowledge to do so...

1. My statement is being backed up by evidence from the coaching staffs of Florida, Bama, and Tennessee. I didn't want it to be taken as ignorant, but I guess you are too stupid to see that

2. Once again, I do not have incorrect info, look at offer lists, camp performances, and even competition level and I truly do believe that Clear and Richardson will be better players than Paulay, I do not see why you are taking this so personally

3. Because you are wrong, and I love how you are so persistent in your assertions that you have the right answer

4. I did note that, and if you saw my post it was a side note, with a "For What It's Worth" attached.

Please call up Bama, Florida, and UT's staff and try to tell them how much better Asiata is than Clear and Richardson

Please don't let "vol fana=tick" get to you, or anyone for that matter. The kid leaches on to other's opinions and claims them as his own. Most of us would love Paulay in orange, and hope the staff gives him an offer, but all we can do is hope. It's all up to them. It will all work out like it's supposed to.

Your offer list arguement is terrible. Perhaps you forgot to check that Paulay has offers from every major school on the West coast. UT hasn't even seen the kid, and the coach can't even get ahold of him on the phone due to the time difference. My hunch is that Alabama and FL are the same as UT. So, it would make sense that that they haven't offered. I guess your argument would say the UT is way better than Oregon since they offered and we didn't, and we all know UT is NOT better than Oregon. So, take that argument, crumble it up, and toss it in the trash.

Next, she probably takes it personal because it is her bother-in-law. My guess is that her opinions are shaped by her husband, A NFL LINEMAN!!!

So, ya, I'll take her word concerning Paulay

The West Coast schools have a big advantage over us because flying time from Hawaii is much less.

Is this supposed to be relevant? What's wrong with taking all three?

If there were no limits on class size, I think we would take all 3 in a heartbeat, but if a cat had a washrag, he wouldn't have to lick his ass. It is what it is -- we do not have room in this class to take all 3.

I personally would love to have at least bought Asiata in to see if he was scholarship worthy -- I tend to think he is. I also would like to know the whole story on Juda -- I think there is more to it than we now know.

At the end of the day, though, I will trust our staff to do the evaluating of our needs and which recruits best fill those needs.

Haven't been on this board in a while..skimmed through this thread a bit and seems like UT has cooled on this cat? Any late news regarding P.A.? Or is this something that isn't going to happen. Personally, I would love to see some island infusion on Rocky Top. I thought, during the Fulmer years, a pipeline was being developed to Hawaii and would love to see it happen again.

Since Vols_Fanatic518 is too much of a rude jerk to do it, I'll apologize for his embarassing behavior.

I'd love for your Brother-in-Law to play here. I'd love for the other guys mentioned to play here. None of these kids still working towards a high school diploma deserves being reduced to either being on the left or right of a > sign.

Vols_Fanatic518 - trash-talking and arguing with the Sister-in-Law of a High School kid about the worth of that high school kid? Really? I doubt it, but I would hope that you are ashamed of yourself.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I am sick of reading through all the idiot posts on this site that some 20 year old brat who thinks he is an expert talent evaluator put up on a daily basis.

One of the main guys on here thinks he is an expert QB evaluator because he plays two hand touch with his neighborhood kids, and watches a substantial amount of video of these recruits. :post-4-1090547912: I really wish I was making that up, but he posted that in the thread about the kid Kiffin recruited that went to USC instead.
