'11 HI OL Paulay Asiata

I think if Richardson moved to the DL then I would like the staff to look at this young man for the OL.

I really wish the staff would offer this kid & get involved here, but I just dont think we will.

I agree -- and of course I want to see Richardson at DT.

And you are right -- this thread just had a heart attack and died. TNgirl?? Anything going on with Asiata and UT??

Sorry you guys, there's nothing much to report- no further contact has been made by TN to Paulay. I spoke with my husband today and he told me that TN ask Juda Parker to "de-commit." - I'm not sure how reliable that info is, but my husband said that Paulay told him last night and that Paulay was pretty upset that UT would offer, and then ask Juda to "de-commit." -Honestly it has me upset too, but Juda has gotten other offers and will be a great asset to whoever he chooses to commit to- UT's loss...

I know it's new coaching staff, and its been a bit of a rough season so far for UT, but my husband's phone has been ringing off the hook from other colleges that have already offered Paulay a full ride- Oregon, Cal-Berkeley, Arizona, and countless others have called and official visits are beginning to get booked...I guess in this case "you snooze, you lose..." and UT is SNOOZING... :ermm:

Thanks for the info. We've been waiting a long time. We wish the best to both of them though. The world of recruiting is messy business. At least Juda has been "asked" with plenty of time to sort it out on his end, and not a week before National Signing Day.

if the staff asked Parker to decommitt and are not talking to Asiata, then they are feeling really good about somebody out there..

Wow! are you serious? I wonder what's up with that? Do you think CDD might have felt that Juda might stay closer to home? Just wondering out loud.

no surprise...i really like Juda, but it is apparent that Jordan Williams is going to commit and guys like Hubbs have been suggesting this might happen for a few weeks...might be best for both parties for them to split... Juda stays closer to home and we start to try to develope a pipeline to Florida... glad to hear that other schools are recruiting Juda though

I would like to hear the coach's explanation on this. Do they feel that it's just too far away?

I really like Juda. He has great speed and quickness and uses his hands more than any recruit I've seen which is something CCS really likes so he'd be able to transform Juda. They have to feel good about somebody.

If this is true I truely feel bad for Juda. I think this young man will do well where ever he goes.

I hope he is successful wherever he lands. Kind of upsetting but at the same time I think this shows if the staff thinks they can do better they will try and land the better prospect. This is contrary to what some of the negaidiots have been preaching.

Sounds like they are passing, rather than snoozing. Hopefully this means we are in good shape with a Cat higher up on the board. Best of luck to Juda wherever he ends up at.

Richardson > Asiata
Clear > Asiata

Seriously, you're gonna go there, huh?

I've tried to stay as professional as possible, and I understand you have your own opinion, but please take a simple look at the facts before you go and and say that Paulay is "less than" these guys.

What are you basing your opinion on? If you are going off mere stats you can do a simple search on Scout.com and see that what you wrote is completely not true...Scout.com has Paulay ranked 14 and what is Cameron Clear's rank, oh yeah he's 18th...If you are basing your opinion on camps, then heck yeah I'm sure these guys have been to a heck of a lot more camps than Paulay, and why? Maybe it's because he lives 3,000 miles away in the middle of the frickin Pacific Ocean- maybe his single parent father doesn't have the finances to fly him all over the country to get him all the exposure that these 2 other recruits (who live in your backyard- 1 in Nashville and 1 in Memphis) have...have you ever thought how interesting it is that they have Paulay ranked #14 and he hasn't even been to the mainland??? Paulay is completely underrated because of lack of exposure, if anything!

see what you fools did. You done went and pissed off our insider in Honolulu.....

Anyways, Last week I posted that I was worried AR is overhyped based on his size, and begged for someone to prove me wrong and nobody did. My theory is starting to materialize. Someone stated he was ineligible his sophomore year. Add to this that he has sucked this year because of injuries. People going to his games are bringing negative reports here. He went to some camps but didn't participate much due to injury. So, all we have is a pretty good Junior year youtube video.... Sorry guys, this isn't enough for me to say he's better than Pauly. Nobody seems to have the full scoop on AR, and I was digging on his thread and didn't find much other than he has the idea body for OL/DL.

You messed with a woman, and you got burnt. Ouch

That's a good point Girl-N-Hawaii. A lot of us don't think about the fact that these recruits have to get to the camps and the campuses, and the transportation isn't always paid for. And anyone in Hawaii is at an immediate advantage.

That's a good point. And I dont' know who is better than who. What I know is that if they want to be Vols, I'll support them through and through.
