Columbus, GA
Carver High School
Ht - 5'11
Wt - 190

Crowell has been part of a talented backfield throughout his high school career so he has never had to carry the load. That is one question about his game, but there are not many more. He has great balance, he can make quick cuts without losing speed, and he is a threat to take it the distance from anywhere on the field.

His current teammate and friend, Gabe Wright, is a heavy Bama lean. Dequan Menzie ('10 Alabama JUCO DB) is also a former teammate of his at Carver in Columbus. I heard Crowell is gonna be a tough pull from UGA for anybody to make. He's a stud for sure though!

Crowell has terrific feet, accelerates well while maintaining control and can cut on a dime. He makes sharp, decisive cuts and is efficient with the ball in his hands.

I think you are right, he probably is probably an early BAMA lean and wants to play with Gabe Wright. There is still plenty of time though and anything is possible.

Confirmed what we thought Ill Will. He has Alabama as an early #1.

  1. Bama
  2. UGA
  3. Clemson
  4. Florida State

"I'm going to FSU this weekend and will be back at Clemson, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee this spring and summer."

It's early for this guy, he's got lots of visits to take.

The likely five-star recruit said he felt it was time he unveil his latest top four contenders, and in order.

"It's Alabama, Georgia is No. 2 now, Clemson and then Florida State," he listed in order. "Alabama runs the ball and I could play there early. Georgia is recruiting me the hardest, but Alabama is one right now."

The stud blue-chipper went in-depth about each of his top four favorites.

Alabama - "I like how they run the ball. I like how coach (Nick) Saban coaches and I built a good relationship with the players when I went there. I talked to Mark Ingram about two or three weeks ago when he called me and he said he likes how I run the ball. He said he wasn't as good as me when he was a junior in high school. He thinks I have the opportunity to be real good."

Who will get those five visits? "I can confirm three," Carver High coach Del McGee said. "It will be Alabama, Florida State and Georgia, for sure, and probably Auburn. The fifth one I don't know. But that's just the way it looks right now. Things can change, but I know he's said something to that effect regarding visits."

Earlier in the interview, McGee dropped Tennessee and Miami as two other schools that are in serious contention for Crowell, which would suggest that the fifth visit could come down to one of them (or both, should Crowell choose to take an unofficial to nearby Athens and use his officials on more distant schools).

They were the ONLY school to pull a top 10 class EVERY YEAR since the rankings began (2002-2009) until last year and couldn't do anything with it.

They need to come to UT...We'll coach em up! Plenty of talent in the state for sure. We need to take over GA.

Woww that says a lot. Imagine what our staff could do with consecutive top 10 classes. If we get another this year that will be 3 in a row for us and if we keep it going for the next couple of years the future looks bright. Our coaches are solid man.

This kid would already be a Dawg if they hadn't struggled last year. He'll go to UGA or Bama and UGA has the edge since he said himself he grew up a Georgia fan.

2002: 13-1 - SEC Champs
2003: 11-3
2004: 10-2
2005: 10-3 - SEC Champs
2006: 9-4
2007: 11-2 - Finished #2 in polls
2008: 10-3
2009: 8-5

They aren't exactly sucking either. The only way you're correct is if your definition of 'anything' is a MNC. If so, you're right. If not, you're wrong. Two SEC titles, two BCS Bowls wins, and six 10 win seasons is damn good.

I'm not counting the '02 team that was made up of players not in these rankings. so i take away 1 BCS win and 1 SEC title. and those teams in the early 2000s were solid. it's the last 4 years or so where Richt has become Fulmer Part Deux. He had some success early (not nearly as much as Phil) and has now gotten bad at his job.

when you lose, on average, over 3 games a year as the ONLY school in the country with a top 10 class every year, you are underachieving.

dude, as sorry as has Tennessee has been lately, we have kicked their teeth in 3 of the last 4 years. and I mean literally kicked their teeth in. they were blowouts.

with all that talent, they finished 4th in the SEC East last year and Kentucky beat em for Christ's sake.

I agree completely. I think UGA is a team that looks good on paper, but when you look at the results, it gets embarrasing at some points. They've gotten embarrased by UT, but not only us, but by their main rival in UF has embarrased them in recent past.

And LV is spot-on with the 3-losses-a-year statement. If you expect to be a top team, its unacceptable to lose 3+ games a year. Only in the SEC can you get away with that, given the competition, but its still not going to get you anywhere.

I find myself quoting my roommate a lot, but as an LSU fan, he thinks, personally, that if LSU continues to lose just 2 or more games a year, CLM should be sacked (mainly bc of the talent he gets to work with in-state).

Am I the only one who caught that? It's against NCAA rules for a student athlete to call a prospective student athlete. What we have here is one of them there violations. I believe the number for the ncaa is 1-800-bama-cheats.

Guys that enroll early aren't even suppose to call other prospects once they are enrolled.

Crowell-I believe he is the best in the nation, his videos are sick.

As for UGA and the record above, I'll take that record in a hearbeat. 90 wins in 9 years? Tied for most wins with LSU this decade.

Do you remember what rule # that was I would like to see it. Sorry just curious, but heck I guess it should be illegal for them to talk back and forth on facebook to. What is the world coming to.:dance2:
