Wilder is all gator and Crowel depends on what M Brown decides here in the next few weeks and/or what UGA does on the field this fall.

He was saying he was a lean to uga and felt like it was home in athens-jw

I still think he's all FLA although he did cancel his trip to Tech to stay another day in Athens. Ward is now Bama's to lose, UGA has backed off recruiting him.

Xzavier Ward didn’t seem too happy at Dawg Night last Friday. But there certainly is a chance Georgia would still take him, provided he doesn’t jump on some of his other impressive offers.

per Chip Towers.

Are Vols still high on this guy?

lol Luatua and Kelly are 3stars too.
Perhaps Dooley and Saban are planning a battle of the three stars in the SEC title in a few years?

I'm not worried about this class because we are hauling in a fantastic Oline class and prospects like Smith are criminally underrated. Dooley is building the program the right way, I just wish some of our fans could clue into this.

Why waste time on those 3 stars. M Ingram and M Dareus were a few that commited to us at the time.

Someone should fire Saban that makes at least 5 three star commits for UA and 0 five stars....loser

I love it when stress over stars. That is why I think UT will be fine. You find talent the rest will work itself out in the end, stars mean nothing.

Lets look at this.

R McClain 4stars and K Jackson 3stars 1st rd draft picks this year
T Cody 3 stars and J Arenas 3stars 2nd rd draft picks this year

M Ingram 3 stars Heisman trophy and M Dareus 3 Star protected top 10 pick unless his party invite gets in him trouble.

Not bad for alot no talent because they were not 5 stars. LOL

I don't think any sane person would question Saban's recruiting ability. But why does Dooley deserve that benefit of the doubt?

Great post. I hope that will put some things into perspective for those who are against getting commitments from lower star players or "project" players.

Because he recruited all the talent Saban at LSU and I would bet if that was researched the same would be said as the talent at UA.

The question for CDD is not evaluating talent. He is one of the best in the business for that and even CNS has sad that. The question was can he make it produce on the field. He will finally get that opportunity to do that over the next few years. Plus he has a great staff around him.

What I think is funny is that if Dooley had taken the easy route and followed Saban to Bama he would probably have been considered one of the biggest "up and comers" in college coaching after last season and alot of naysayers here would have loved the hire

He said something similar to that when he was hired. He knows a lot of the fans question the hire because of where he came from. He just needs some time to do his thing.

The reason Ward is not rated higher is because his weight. At his height he has the frame to add the weight and will once he gets in a college program. Ward is going to be a really good olinman in college and would be a great addition regardless of what his current ranking is.

He's only a three star though. If Saban keeps recruiting like this it will land him in the unemployment line in a few years.

Ward, like Luatua and Kelly, are typical Saban OL signees. But guys like D.J. Fluker, Tyler Love, and Cyrus Kouandjio certainly appease the star gazers.
