If USC's appeal gets denied then there down to 15 scholarships which means a lot of those recruits are screwed.

from what I understand USC is taking advantage of a loophole (imagine that). Where they have filed an appeal the sanctions won't take affect until they rule on it again. They are just prolonging the inevitable. :hi:

I believe the number would be 24 even after being hit with the penalty/losing the appeal. 15 and 9 back counts. IIRC, that was what the si.com piece stated.

I also believe that the anticipated strategy here for those punks was to load up to whatever number they can and redshirt several this year, so as to keep them on campus a year longer and through the penalty period.
