No problem at all with a kid 'playing the recruiting game' but IF, it's taken to the level of giving multiple staffs a silent verbal that’s a bit more than playing the game. That could negatively affect a staffs planning.. I think it does reveal a little about the kids character..

I don't know that GW is doing this. He probably isn't but it has been rumored here..

In all fairness to GW, do we know that he lied to the coaches? I've only heard that he lied to Hubbs and another recruiting guy?

He doesn't owe Hubbs anything...but that doesn't change the fact that he told a bold faced lie...it's a blatent display of immaturity if nothing else

There are countless examples of highly sought after recruits playing the game....but telling bold faced lies is taking it to another level...and being 17 years old is not an excuse for that

A telemarketer called the other day. I let the answering machine recording of me say, "We're not here right now."

I myself have never done this, but countless people tell their boss they are sick and lay out of work. IMO that is far worse and most on here are guilty of it.

If some pesky reporter you have never met calls you wanting to know your whereabouts, you can tell them whatever you want! Sorry but this just does not work up my righteous indignation.

Emotions run high today on Volnation. Gabe has said he was gonna do this from the very beginning. It might be a little bit excesive for most peoples liking, but he is a HIGH SCHOOL student having fun.

This does not mean he has a character flaw. Just him throwin his usual smoke screens. He wants people to be confused.

Messing around is one thing...flat out telling a bold faced lie....you know "I wasn't at said place when I was actually at said place"...is another...

I know alot of people don't agree with me...they give these kids a free pass to do and say whatever they want because they desparately want these kids to attend UT or they think that being 17 is an excuse for anything...I just don't agree...

And if anyone wants to look up my posts from this time last year or the year before then they would see that my position on this is very consistent

I don't have a problem with him 'misleading' a nosey reporter either.. I probably would have said no offense bud but it's none of your business where I'm at. However, If he's lying to coaches about silent commits and what not that's a bit different.. We all know that none of these coaches would lie to a recruit.... Right?

I'm under no delusions about the moral fortitude of past and present UT players...and I'm not trying to stand on any type of soapbox or sit on any type of high horse...but every year certain recruits take playing the game too far...and this year Wright definitely falls into that group
