Surely he wont want to play for sheep ****er central down at Auburn. UGA is sorry as hell and bama is slipping. Chuck Smith is gonna close this Kid. He is gonna be one of our building blocks for our return to glory. Go Vols.

Bama is slipping? They're coming off a NC. They had the #5 recruiting class last year and will be top 5 again this year. Smoke another one.

I will give you two reasons why we have a chance to beat LSU:

Miles and Chavis

I think so too. You gotta realize, LSU fans are uneasy about Miles right now, and when they play us, there is a fair chance that they could be 2 and 2, having played UNC and West Virginia. Not saying that's probable, but quite within the realm of possibility. If that happens, the Tigers would be doubting themselves and the coach and there would be a lot of must-win panic goin on. We shall see.

at that point, we will be in a must win situation too. only beating UTM and UAB doesnt constitute much.

How could a team ever doubt themselves against a school that just backed out of a series with UNC?

Gabe tells JHop that UGA is going hardest at him and at this point leads.

Auburn is behind them. claims Bama, FSU & Tennessee are up there.

his list for official visits are way out there. "UCLA, Michigan, Maryland, Oklahoma State and maybe Clemson"

:lol

ummm Yea, so you count me in as someone who doesnt take anythign he says seriously ...

the topic I'm about to reveal may have already been discussed, someone advise:

My friend in Columbus follows recruiting, and he told me that the QB last year for Carver had an offer from UGA. The kid (i don't know his name) was super excited, and planned a visit with numerous family members to commit. So, all the family loads up in a caravan of cars headed to Athens for his big day. Half way there Bobo calls and tells the kid that the offer is revoked, and that UGA was NOT taking a QB in that 2010 class. Needless to say the entire family was disappointed, especially after they finally did indeed take a QB.

The coach at Carver was extremely pissed, and banned all UGA from recruiting at Carver. Now that doesn't mean a kid couldn't go there, but the coach wouldn't allow UGA to come to Carver. After many apologies, the coach has re-opened his doors to UGA.

I said all that to say that I'm doubting Gabe goes to UGA based on this info. Crowell is high on UGA, but I wonder if this incident affects his decision too.

Side note: Richt also told Da'Rick and Nash they wasn't taking a QB also. I think i heard Da'Rick was disappointed when they took that QB. I'm not an 'insider' but it sounds like Da'Rick felt like he was lied to, and therefore switched his commitment to us.

Has anyone else heard this?

any chance it still has lingering affects with this year recruits. I wonder if any guys this year were friends with that QB, and have a bad taste in their mouth with UGA.

I just started following recruiting this year. My initial thoughts are that Columbus favors AU more that UGA???

That is a common misconception. Columbus, despite only being about 30 minutes from Auburn, hasn't been favorable to Auburn recently.

On this side I have been hearing that Wright had his top 3 as
1. Auburn
2. Georgia
3. Tennessee
If he comes to Georgia he would be a DE in the 3-4. We just got Mayes for DT and that gives us

Big Bean Anderson- Junior
Kwame Geathers- RS Freshman
Marcus Thornton- Freshman
Chris Mayes- Class of 2011
and DeAngelo Tyson will play NT some and DE some.

I had Auburn with the lead and figured Tennessee was closing the gap and would jump Georgia into the #2 spot.
If they keep Chuck Smith on Wright you guys may have a real good shot at getting him.

Also with Carver in the past they have been close with Auburn because of where they are and their HC is an Auburn guy. However the Devin incident was Bobo's fault and yes CMR has smoothed things over with them. Now with Jarvis Jones is at Georgia it is a big plus. He and Crowell are very close as are 2012 recruits Samuel and Bonner.

That's good news. I had read the article on Scout where he said he knew coaches from Auburn and Georgia would be there but wasn't sure about UT and Alabama.
