76, you've been calling this for a long time now. You're vindication arrives soon!

What is going to be interesting is if...and it's a BIG IF, Jernigan(who announces before GW) commits to UT, what the staff is going to do. Remeber that Maggitt, Dawson, Richardson, and Jernigan all announce before Wright. Hubbs and those guys over on TOS say that nobody is going to have their offer pulled. idk...maybe the staff has some inside knowledge of a defector?? It may come down to first come first serve on the LOI's.

On the case of what Timmy Jernigan does will effect what Gabe Wright decides to do..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't most commits on national signing day email their letter of intents to the school they choose when they wake up that morning? It is my understanding that the majority of the time the athlete has already made the decision when they are on television. When they "sign" the papers, it is usually just a piece of paper they write their name on.

So, what I guess I am trying to get at is hopefully Gabe's committment on television is more of just a ceremony kind of thing and the Jernigan decision can have no effect either way.

IF that were to happen, I would mess my breeches. Talk about a "GOOD" problem to have. You would HAVE to take them both.

Staff will know who is gonna commit tomorrow before they announce. I don't think any recruit is gonna pull a Kris Frost and just announce a team and not let them know; Auburn didn't know his was announcing for them and he almost didn't get in there.

I would think so too, but you can't take them AND not pull any scholarship offers. In the case of Wright, i'm not sure he would tell the staff ahead of time. Could be interesting.

Its a great problem to have; trust me this is their job and I'm sure they know exactly what they are doing tomorrow. I don't view it as an issue at all and too many people are making a big deal of this.

Based on theDooley and Skeeters comments the staff may already know it either has a numbers issue or very well may have a numbers issue.

I'm sure they do, but the question is what are they going to do about it?

I asked this question yesterday in the "54 hrs to NSD" thread and never got an answer. I was worried it was going to come down to this. I just hope we are tactful and don't burn any bridges if it does indeed end up as I fear.

We should apologize a million times. Dooley himself should go to the player's house and do it if it's no violation. But at the end of the day, they have to be cut loose. No one wants to win as bad as the coaches. They'll do what they have to.

Wright said after the w/e that he would tell the coaches today. So they should either know or know soon, unless that's changed.

The coaches will know about most of the commits tonight. I'm sure there will be a leak or two this evening on here and then this site's traffic will quadruple. :loco:

It's despicable to yank a kid's offer this late in the game after he turns all his other offers down. I'll be appalled if that's how Dooley plays it.

Most recruits that are considering multiple schools contact the school of choice the night before. Thats so the staff can focus on different recruits. Others like Lacey at Bama was coming to UT, but changed his mind like 15 minutes prior to sending the LOI. Never know. We'll all know in a few hours.

I read somewhere on here today that it was rumored that a couple kids that have committed may not get in. Therefore, no numbers issues. Anybody else heard that? Any truth to that???

Things in recruiting can change in a New York minute...I'm holding my breath until the ink dries on Gabe's LOI.

I've been saying for months he's UT bound. His Mom wouldn't lie to me ;)
