11' GA DE Stephon Tuitt

who can move. It's nice to have the option of
moving a DE to DT in a year or two
if you have to. (see Walls)

Tennessee , Auburn, Clemson, Miami, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech and LSU are his top seven...... no UGA...... hmm?

Its great he is not high on UGA. Not sure what their board looks like for the D-line or if they pursued him at any point.

LV, how many more DE's you think we take? And which ones SHOULD they be.

UGA went after him hard and it was a GT/UGA battle for a long time. But he took his 3rd or 4th visit and didn't like it. Plus what Mama Tuitt wants is a major major factor.

What does mama Tuitt want?

Mama has been more inclined to go with Miami or GT. ND is in the mix for her as well. I'm curious to see what the opinion is of his visit up there. Hopefully some minds are changed. From what I've heard around town is that he does like UT. He's had various subtle hints of orange with FB and some other places. We'll see.

I think it is so much easier to get elite talent to leave the state of Ga. over any other state.

What does that say about UGA???

She didn't want UGA...she visited and said nicely that she loved it and all that but she didn't.

I see, so again, what does mama Tuitt want? Where does she like etc.

Close to home, great academics and solid program...Which is why she wants GT.

Atlanta isn't exactly far from knoxvile. If she won't make that drive to see him, mama's being lazy.

I am viewing this as a 3-4 recruiting class from now on so I think Saulberry is the only DE we have. I think we will take 2-3 more and 1-2 more guys who can play some NT.

at DE Jordan Williams, Tuitt, Drew, Chickillo, Pagan, Maggitt, the Illinois kid, and Newberry seem to be who we are going after the most. I think we'll get Williams and have a fairly decent shot at Tuitt.

So you view Parker as an OLB instead of a Rush Defensive End?

yes.

he will play both while he's here I'm sure cuz we will still play a 4-3 some. but our base will start moving from a 4-3 to a 3-4 once we get the personnel.

it is pretty obvious we are recruiting to a 3-4 imo.

In a 3-4 any of your "rush" defensive ends pretty much translate into an OLB. You bulk up you "actual" DEs as they serve as what would usually be considered an undersized DT.
