'11 GA DE Ray Drew

Wow the fact that he finally narrowed things down and we made it is awesome! Strahan has got to talk CCS up man, he has to. I hate our odds but I do like the fact he hasn't written us off completely.

Oh yes, of course.
I'll admit that Mark Richt is a stand-up guy with good morals, but Derek Dooley has good morals, as well. Tennessee needs more defensive line help than anyone in the country, in my opinion. We're talking like "emergency S.O.S." help. Throw in Lance Thompson and his recruiting prowess in Georgia and surrounding states and Chuck Smith and his dynamic coaching style as well as his background as a lineman and the praises of other linemen who have either played with him or played under him (i.e. Michael Strahan), not to mention the family atmosphere of not only Neyland on game day (which doesn't even compare to gameday at Sanford Stadium), but the entire university as a whole and the Knoxville community as a whole. The mountains are beautiful, especially at this time of year. I don't see any way you can not consider Tennessee. I feel better about our chances with Pagan, but Drew, although a long shot, will be a phenomenal pull. I just hope he'll be able to come here for a visit and see what all Tennessee has to offer.

Tennessee is not really a factor. He'll likely end up at Georgia. I'd say only Auburn and LSU have any kind of prayer of stealing him away and they are both longshots.

You must have never experienced the bar scene in Athens...

Oh wow, a good bar scene.

Wish I knew Athens had a great bar scene when I was making my college choice. I might had gone there instead. (tic)

Drew won't be going to Auburn ... he's a Reverend and he's already stated that morals are one of the top considerations of the school he selects.

Which is another reason to think St. Richt and UGA have a huge lead for him.

Scam Newton's dad is a "reverend" too if I'm not mistaken.

I'm not sure if Ray cares about the bar scene. I know I don't.

My point wasn't meant to say Drew would pick a school based on bar scene but more to point out your blatant bias toward everything UT (I know its a UT site). Bar Scene is part of Gameday experience and I am pretty sure college kids care more about the nightlife than they do about whether or not Dooley or Richt has the better morals. Why do you think every time a recruit comes to campus they are taken out on the town... Just remember, when it comes to recruits some of them don't have their Orange glasses on. In this recruit's case, trying to get him to come here is like Richt trying to recruit you or I to Georgia.

True for most recruits, but the fact is that I still think REVEREND Drew doesn't care about the bar scene. Probably more interested in the church scene...

Didn't know his father was a preacher. Must have completely missed that one. Sorry about that. PK's can be the wildest ones though...

True, but not in this case. He's a very good kid from everything I've read. Think Chris Walker.

Well, if he is a class act like Chris then that is awesome. Very few athletes at UT have a better attitude than him. Him, EB, and Reveiz are the three of the most humble and genuine good guys I have ever met. We need more like them. They keep the other guys in line and out of trouble.
