'11 FL TE Brandon Fulse

Everybody needs to settle down and stop hating.its not a big loss.besides Moore is coming here.He called chuck smith to let him know. One other surprise will be Maggitt. this is going to be a strong finish to a solid class:good!:

This doesn't hurt. We'll get Cam Clear.

Fulse goes to JUCO, we re-recruit him next year. Simple. :hi:

Why did he call CCS? CJW has been his main recruiter.

didnt ask him why he got the call. but i do trust him. he also told me 3 hours ago that fulse told them today that he was going to the barn

Quote from Newberg article on ESPN:

"Tennessee made it tough," Fulse admitted. "I loved the visit and I really like coach [Derek] Dooley. That's a great program with history and history at the tight end position. I did feel comfortable there but not like my new home."

Before we close this chapter, here's some interesting post-decision sound bytes from Fulse...

Something else that was big with the tight end from Fort Meade High School in Florida was the Tigers' offense and the need for a tight end. While he concedes that Tennessee, Miami and North Carolina -- his other finalists -- also needed tight ends, he thought the Auburn offense was the best fit for him.

"You know I love Gus Malzahn and his offense," Fulse said.

While he did commit to Auburn over the Vols, Tar Heels and Hurricanes, one team was tougher than the others to turn away.

His loss. Auburn's going nowhere next year. Enjoy coming in 3rd in the west.

That's an encouraging quote, and the funny thing is, I'm a little relieved. We only have so many spots anyway and I'd rather have Cam Clear. This just reveals one more piece of the puzzle.

Didn't want him anyway.

My thoughts exactly, but mine were not quite as direct. I knew if he put on the Tennessee hat someone else drops off the board. He isn't as big as the rest of the fish we have in the shallow end of the pond. I know I know; One in hand two in bush.
