I would be interested in seeing it as well. From what all the sites are saying it seems Lane went from the penthouse to the outhouse. Some seem to think he is playing hurt and some say it's all in his mind. I do find it strange that one of the recruiting sites said they gave him every chance to keep his high ranking..but he just did not perform. Seems to me they would have slowly dropped his rating each time they went back over the rankings...and not just said 2 weeks before NSD.."sorry kid", and drop him 200 spots.

Why didnt WV recruit him?

Initially UWV did, but I have learned from flowd82, Fingers, munsterlander, jmoore_21, and others on VN that UWV and Tennessee as well as several D1 schools have withdrawn and/or are no longer interested in Wasonga. Speculation is rampant but poor character seems to be singled out most for the schools sudden change of direction.

He played in five games this year including playoffs. He was a little tentative but was still Marlin Lane. I have film but for various reasons I cant post it. He is fine and the reports that he didnt rehab hard are absurd. That kid busted his arse this summer and worked harder then any other athlete we had regardless the level. Marlin is a stud and a top 75 talent.!.

How can Marlon Lane fall out of top 250, but not Brendon Bigelow??????

I'm not saying Bigleow should or should not fall, but it's these kind of inconsistancies with Rivals evaluations that have made it easy to call Bull Shiz on them and for fans to come up with off the wall conspiracy theories. Overall I like alot of the 3* guys we got, and I feel the staff has more than Rivals, done a good job evaluating their talent.

But no one will know for 3-4 years, so we'll see!

Criticizing the kid for running tentatively in order to preserve himself for his college career is just crazy to me. He is supposed to be looked at as a prospect and it is a known fact that he has the potential to be one of the top backs to come out of Florida in this class. I mean he has more potential than Buie and Allen IMO. Mark Ingram ran tentatively in his first few games back this season but no one was criticizing his ability. Im not trying to compare Ingram to Lane but it just seems ridiculous me.

There is no way FSU has room for him, he'll likely talk them up quite a bit after his visit, but I don't see any way they take him.

if what the coaches are hearing is true, they will take him and davis. they will not take lane alone, has nothing to do with talent or lack of, they have plenty of rbs. some how they will try to make room for both. a couple of our coaches still speak with coach gran, im assuming thats where the info is coming from.
