Interesting. I had not heard anything relating Lane to LSU. I would highly highly doubt they would even want Lane with all the RB recruits they already have.

He is committed, he just wanted to have a presser this week and his coach leaked out the committment per Hubbs.

So yes he is committed but he is going to "deny it" until his official presser...whenever he decides to have it if he does at all now.

I actually feel bad. A player should have the privilege of his own moment. It sucks that his coach "leaked" the information. I'm implying that it was meant to be kept behind a closed door until Marlin was ready.

Hope he enjoys his moment if and when he gets it.

I agree...I have a feeling since Marlin's decommitment fiasco w/clemson once he told his coach he knew where he was going his coach probably really wanted him to just be more professional about this commit and not do the hooplah. But when Marlin still wanted to have some fun maybe his coach thought it would be best to just get it out there...not cool IMO.

If I'm Lane I'm like "thanks for nothing, coach"....I mean, really??? Let the kid have his moment. Same goes for the wr at UM who piped up about Moore. With that off my chest, welcome to the Vol family, Mr. Lane. Make us proud.

This one sounds a lot like Byron Moore's situation, just the other way around. Both guys are wanting to have their big moments, but others have spilled the beans. That said, everyone knows where each is going.

Sucks that Marlin didn't get to have his moment, but I'm damn glad he's a vol. GBO

He will have plenty of moments in front of 100,000+ if he works hard enough for it. If I was him I would forget the whole table and hats deal. The real spotlight will come when he is gets into that checkerboard endzone.

Word. But I'm still stoked that this stud is (officially) a Vol :pepper:

Good Point. As a RB for TN this kid will have a chance to be all over ESPN, CBS, etc. if he becomes a great player. Welcome to TN Marlin.
