everything Ive ever heard out of Bridgewater is how he isnt a Cane Lock.
add to that right now theres some ill will between the MNW coach and Shannon's staff.
The West feels UM did Chandler wrong and teyre doing WR Thompkins wrong, who's already there and looking to transfer.
Hunter replaced Ambles and Da'rick is a huge possibility IMO. I love our class but the only thing that really hurts is that losing the old staff killed our chances with Chaz Green, Christian Jones, and maybe even Cullen but i love our class.
Class of 2011 ESPNU 150 Watch List signal-caller Teddy Bridgewater (Miami/Northwestern) has received written scholarship offers from Miami-FL, Florida, Tennessee, West Virginia, Alabama and Florida International, ESPN affiliate Web site InsideTheU.com reports.
One schools caught Bridgewater's eye, "I would say the one that jumped out to me was Tennessee because the first thing that came to my mind was Peyton Manning. I watched him at Tennessee but I watched him even more in the NFL and I hope I can be as good as he was."
The 6-foot-2, 173-pound junior has already decided to wait until November 10th, 2010, his birthday, to make his decision.
Last fall, Bridgewater completed 97 of 160 attempts (60.6-percent) for 1,560 yards, 16 touchdowns and just three interceptions. He rushed for 211 yards and two more scores and caught one touchdown pass.
The top guns
The big name heading into the event was Miami (Fla.) Northwestern quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Though he shows tremendous athleticism and big-play ability, he just seems to be going through the motions at quarterback. He is almost too athletic for his own good. He spent time at wide receiver, safety and cornerback. He has great tools, but Bridgewater seems bored at QB. If he can harness his talent there, he could be very special.
Larry Blustein of the Miami Herald. He has the confidence, athletic ability and belief he can do anything. He comes on the field and knows inside that he is as good as anyone or better on the field. He can play any number of positions - quarterback, safety, wide receiver and make a major impact. Whether it is on the football, baseball or track field he has the confidence level. He can rally his team from anywhere. He is right up there with James Wilder, Jr. as the best in the state.
.He has great mobility to open up the passing lanes and has tremendous accuracy. He can throw on the run as well as anybody. Running the ball, he is always moving north and south and has great body control. Teddy is a team player, you'll never hear him say 'I'. Everyone plays off of him. He's won 97% of his games as a starter. He does so much to help the team win, he's not an individual, but a team player.
