“I like Miami and they were the first school to offer me, but I would not put them on top of my list right now,” said Teddy Bridgewater.

“Georgia is number one right now. I am very high on them and I have been liking them for a while. They know how to coach up quarterbacks, I really like what Matthew Stafford did there, and they run a pro-style offense which is good for preparing guys for the NFL. I have family in Decatur, Macon, and Atlanta up there too.”

After Georgia, Bridgewater listed Tennessee and Alabama number two and three on his list. He said, “Tennessee has a lot of tradition, I really like Peyton Manning and I want to see how they do this year under the new coaches. Alabama is another system I feel I could do well in at quarterback. They run a pro-style system like Georgia and they have coaches that know how to get their players to the NFL.”

Per Scout... Wow, this is purty big news...

After the news we've gotten today, yeah, anything about a good quarterback liking us is good news. Hopefully we can spank the pants off Georgia this year and sway him a little bit. What we put on the field is going to be so crucial this year.

If it is between us and Ga, i really like our chances. Bama doesnt scare me too much either. Ga just signed to big time prospects. One of em is going to start soon.

If anything happens to Joe Cox then I believe Aaron Murray will be the starter.

One of the freshmen will start by years end because of loses. They will lose 4-6 games this year. JMO They just don't scare me. QB play is a B- at best probably a C. They lost an Olinemen or two. They lost there up the middle back. And Richt is not a great coach Bobo certainly is not. I say they lose to us, UF, OKstate, LSU, Gtech. Maybe they win one of those and maybe they lose to USClite. But I do not see good things for them this year. Again JMO.

If they're going to wait to lose that many games before pulling Cox, they might as well just redshirt both freshmen so they don't lose a year of eligibility. No reason to play either of them if it comes to that.

I think it will really depend on how we look on the field this year. If Crompton can turn it around enough to be a serviceable QB and we go 7-5 or 8-4, I'm calling top 3 recruiting class next year. I think alot of kids want to pull the trigger with us right now, but there are just too many unknowns for them at this point. If Kiffin and Chaney can make Crompton look good, then you can count on at LEAST one of the Top 2011 QB prospects heading to Knoxville...

Just thinking since kids nickname is "Heisman", when coaches are recruiting, do you think the chance to be UTs first heisman winner helps more with recruiting, or hurts more we don't have one??

I don't think most recruits care about that kind of thing. JMO

I like the fact that he doesn't mind playing WR sound like a smart kid. I really think that this staff will change the way the new recruits start to look at UT in the future as far as competing for starting jobs unlike the old staff that only started upperclassmen.

Hardly. We saw how well that worked out when everyone started calling him a Miami lock.

No matter what happens, there is gonna be a fight for this kid from several teams.

well i hate to pile it on, but its way too early.

i wouldnt call anyone a lock, but if youre going to call them a lock, i would think you should at least wait until they commit

edit: i dont wanna double post so i will just add this in. at the end of the video he said he wanted to get on the field right away, so if he wants to do that and play QB, then UT would be a much better choice than UGA. so i think we have a shot.

ESPECIALLY if we don't get Scroggins in this class. I mean, UGA signed Aaron Murray AND Zach Mettenberger this past class, two 4 stars...so....that might hurt. I mean, we have no WR's, and we have no QB's.....we can definitely fulfill his desire at either position right now. And looking at his tape....wouldn't be surprised if he beat Scroggins for the starting job if he commits.
