11 FL OL Marcus Jackson (UT commit)

I hope clear makes it as a tight end. I mean I obviously want him to be where he's best, but I hope that's at tight end. I love his size and athleticism and his ability to block. blocking for tight ends is very underrated...

the coaches feel clear will add another 30 pounds or more once in the strenght/cond program. not sure he could play te at that weight.

Hey skeeter, i trust your word but cane fans seem to think he's locked in at miami now at least that's how it feels reading their board

Announcing today, correct?
Posted via VolNation Mobile

Tomorrow. Jan 5th is the game
"I am announcing at the game," Jackson said. "As of now I pretty much know which school I am going to. I will just make it public on Wednesday."

"I have been to Miami, Tennessee, Michigan State, and Georgia Tech," Jackson said. "It is between all four, but Georgia Tech isn't really in it. Florida came into it late but they aren't really in there either."

Jackson didn't share any other thoughts about his upcoming decision outside of the fact that the staff that is going to get good news on national television already knows it is coming.

"I let the coach know last night," Jackson said.

IF you believe what jmoore posted last night this could be very good news for Tennessee.

I saw the same thing JMoore saw last night. After reading this i am now 100% sure. Any thing can happen and I can't wait to see how it plays out but this kid will be a Vol.

What did you guys see last night or are you able to share it with us/me? Thanks for your info.

Last night JMoore posted that he got some new info about Marcus Jackson, and he now says that he will commit to us. I dont know what info it is, but coming from JMoore I am pretty sure its true.

Jackson will push Schoefield. If not next year then certainly by 2012. Schoefield has some talent but he was below average this year when he was on the field.

UT did a better job running the ball early in the season before Schofield got injured. He never seemed to catch up after returning. I hope he can get it all back together over the off season. He is a MAJOR talent on this team.

Can't say but I will say it was Pay site info. They are usually right but not always. However after reading the quote and seeing that he informed the coach last night makes me think that the (pay) Info was correct.

I really like Schofield...he has the size to be an elite guard...but this staff is absolutely in love with Jackson. He's going to get a chance to play early. The competition will help both of them.

I really think thats what the current OL needs to push them over the top. Right now they dont have anyone behind them pushing them for time. Some young guns coming in wanting their spots should put a fire under their behinds.

This X 1000.

This OL is going to be great, but when they've all pretty much started 7-9 games in a row and they're still making those lazy whiffs that we saw sometimes this season is because they know they don't have anyone behind them going to push them for their spot. Yes, they're freshman, but at some point in the season you learn to grow up real quick. They knew they were the starting OL regardless. When we bring in this OL class, I think we're really going to see the true OL that we've hoped for.
