11 FL OL Marcus Jackson (UT commit)

Sorry if I came across as being magnanimous... Personally, I think regardless of stars, what you just brought up is the 'x' factor that separates average players, from good players. Besides, I've become jaded, seems like UT has more 5 star busts than any other school I can think of. So many had the talent, they just couldn't make that mental transition you talked about.

And in some ways, that transition is easier for someone like Devrin... Most stud recruits have a sense of entitlement (see UF's 2010 class), and are shocked when they face some adversity for the first time. But, lower ranked recruits tend to be hungrier, and willing to put in more work. jmo.

As far as mental transition some of the blame falls back on coaching.Lets hope we are past that problem now.

It's going to have to be soon he is an EE, he could possibly come back for a visit with his mom soon. It's a Miami/Tennessee battle. He knows that his best chance of playing is at UT & the atmosphere here is ALOT better than at Miami but Miami is very close to home for him.

Anything new or current? Has he scheduled a visit for December with his mom?

Nothing new ATP, JB said in his weekly mailbag last week that either Lanier or Marcus Jackson would be our next commitment.

What about byron moore? I heard we r really going after him now

He is coming for a visit next weekend, him & Malik Jackson are good friends & Malik has been trying to sell him on Tennessee. IMO he will stay on the West Coast.

I was in South Florida a couple of weeks ago and everyone was complaining about the cold temps in the high 50's.
