11 FL OL Marcus Jackson (UT commit)

Just to play devil's advocate - this could make him more likely to go to Miami. He opened up his recruitment again because he didn't like where things were with Shannon leading Miami. Now that Shannon's gone, maybe he thinks about staying if he likes the hire (think James Stone for us last year - wasn't interested in the home state school until the coach that he didn't like left/was fired)

Possibly, but it will depend on how long their process takes. I believe he is an EE and that will leave little time to really feel out a new coach.

For real. Look what the firings did for Florida State.

FNL Report: Jackson had a very impressive camp at UF. He is a mean OL that will knock the man in front of him back. He is quick off the ball and he comes out of his stance quickly to get on his opponent. Him being at FNL was a little surprising being that he is committed to Miami, but his performance may have been a little surprising as well. He was clearly the top OL there and he should see the field early no matter who he ends up signing with.

This is Chad Simmons' evaluation of Marcus from Florida's Friday Night Lights camp, where he ranked him as the #1 OL in attendance.

FYI- Simmons ranked Kerbyson as the #2 OL at the camp. I think it's nice that Meyer got to see his future nightmare up close and personal :dance2:

His decision will be prior to Christmas. And he's still committed to UM. He said 40% committed, and UT being his next option. It's gonna come down to his Moms visit in December. I think the OL coach is interim HC for the U IIRC. Might be who they hire also.

40% commited to Miami 60% commited to Tennessee, just got to get mama on campus.

Can't be 60% to us. The U has his commitment. It could change with the situation, but if what you are saying is right, he'd be switched according to the services.

Plus I had already said what you said except the 60% because its an assumption.

I would love for us to get this "kid"(Strange to say at his size and ability). Mom is the key. Make mom at home and the son will come. I truly believe he will be all VOL if mom signs-off.:clapping:

They are definitely going outside the staff. I said the interim HC is the OL coach I believe.

.

I'd be willing to bet that Jackson & his mama get a visit from Dooley & Heistand this week or next

If Miami hires Gruden like the Miami Herald is reporting, I'd bet he sticks with Miami.

NO! Let's remember that Gruden will never leave Tampa.

..... and if he does, his wife has UT connections.

I hear when he comes to UT, that he is hiring Lovey as his assistant.

:loco:
