'11 FL DT Timmy Jernigan (FSU)

Quote fromt the Gainesville Sun about Jernigan...

"He loves Coach Smith," Howard said. "He's a real sharp guy, smart guy, has pro experience."

Howard also said Jernigan has grown close with UT's strength and conditioning coach, Ron McKeefery. Howard said an important factor for Jernigan is developing a strong relationship with the strength and conditioning coach because they'll be together more often than other coaches. That's one reason Florida has stayed in the picture for Jernigan.

Great find Gainesville. That is huge about him growing close to our S&C Coach. That can only help. He is still probably a pipe dream, but if he makes that final visit to UT it could get interesting.

If TN lands Jernigan, Ron McKeefery will be an instant hero around Knoxville. This guy is one of those players that can instantly improve your Defense.

This guy could be a real sleeper for us and this class. Farrell was on rivals radio this morning and is convinced it's an LSU / FSU / Texas battle at this point with LSU leading. Of course this only means good things for the Vols when he makes a prediction

I bet it would be very hard to say no to Chuck's recruiting spill. If you truely want to play NFL ball, then you gotta think Chuck would be the guy to get you there.

That's one reason Florida has stayed in the picture for Jernigan. Sounds like thats one reason Tennessee has stayed in the picture not Florida.

wow dude..you must go look at fsu in the 90's

i know ima catch flak..but ppl need to realize there is football played outside the SEC too

Im not giving flak but in the 90's I hated that FSU played that crappy ACC schedule and everyone thought they were so great. They were like UCON this year, they were the best in the conf. but is that really saying anything

I hated FSU in the 90s too, but they still played Florida and Miami every year too, which is a far cry from anything on UConn's schedule.

Miami was on probation in 90,s. And like we saw in 2001 it is so much better to play your real rival at the end of the year. I think it was then they moved our florida game to the end of the season.

What? Miami won the National Championship in 1991 and played for it again in 1992. Miami was on probation in the late 90s, but they weren't for the first half.

Also, FSU played Miami in October every year and Florida at the end. They didn't play either of them early.

Very hard...and dangerous.

That's what I said they played them later. Even if they split or lose both they won acc and go to big bowl
