He sure didn't look like he weighed 220 in their game on ESPN against Ginn's boys earlier this year. Though, with a long frame like that it can be hard to tell.

That being said, I wouldn't care if he never gained another pound. He is worth a scholarship just to come in for passing situations and wreak havoc in the backfield for four years.

I completely agree. We haven't had a speed rusher or someone who could harass the QB in a long time. The UT sack leader for the last 5 years had an astounding 6 sacks. In a 12 game season someone has to do better than that. Our pass rushing ability has been very bad these last few years. Williams is a great start, but getting Maggitt would really help us in that phase the next 3-4 years.

That's weird. Doesn't this put our coaching staff in a hole? We all know this team has needs and not too many scholarships remaining to fill those needs. Can we hold one scholarship for the day after NSD in hopes of this guy signing, or do you think he would've already notified the staff by NSD whether he was going to sign with UT or not?

I know there is a thread on the recruiting page for Maggitt (see here: http://www.volnation.com/forum/tennessee-vols-recruiting/102563-11-fl-de-curt-maggitt-10.html), however, this ESPN article -- Jadeveon Clowney only has one visit set - ESPN -- quickly mentions that Maggitt will be on campus Friday and I was wondering whether the word is out?? I know the recruiting guys know about it on the recruiting page, but is anything being planned? Paint the rock? Bring him to the Vandy game? Anything we can do to let him know that we CARE whether he comes here or not only helps. This guy is a stud. GBO!

He's announcing after NSD so he can do it on a local outdoors TV show.
