'11 CA RB Brendan Bigelow

At the end of the day, I'd rather not take a risk on this kid. Not high chances we get him anyway, plus he is obviously an injury risk. We aren't technically lacking at the RB spot. We have Poole another year, Neal (who has great potential), and Tom Smith coming. If he comes here, he won't play his freshmen year most likely. If he gets hurt sophomore or junior year, we are all going to be b*tching about his lack of production and what a waste of time it was to get him here.

Yeah Hardesty sure was the most healthy back ever too. Bigelow could be one of the best we've ever had in Orange. We need a game changer at RB and Bigelow is that type of player. I say go after him and go after him hard. He's the type of player that we look at other schools and say why we don't have a guy like that.

I remember people saying this about Adrian Peterson coming out of college. Good thing the Vikings didn't listen.

Hardesty and Peterson suffered their injuries in college. The rehabilitation process in a D1 college program is a little different from being in high school. Correct me if I'm wrong, Bigelow has already had a knee problem twice. What happens when he plays early in college while he's physically weaker than everyone else? Hardesty is somewhat of a comparison, but Peterson isn't comparable.

I understand that, and you make a valid point, but if he's good enough for the coaches, he's good enough for me. They get paid to evaluate this kinda stuff.

If Bigelow wants to come here you take him! Redshirt him & give him a year with Wylie to build that knee up & he will be a very very good playmaker for us. Having Bigelow to go along with Neal & T. Smith (who will be power backs) would be a good RB core. But with that said I dont see us landing Bigelow, he will stay on the left coast.

From what I have heard we are wanting a homerun threat back. Beside Bigelow, know anyone else we are in the running for?

Not really in the running for anyone VL. Were trying to get in on Savon Huggins but it's to late. Were still recruiting Mike Bellamy but nothing will come of it. Our only realy chance is Bigelow & it's a long shot.

And again do we know how extensive of a tear it was?

Adding this guy + DeAnthony Arnett would make our offense really explosive in 2 years if we get the QB play we're hoping for.

Funny you mention Arnett. Dallas will be a monster on offense if he plays there. DaRick Rogers and Hunter will be crazy as our starting WRs.

Man it's months till NSD, it's not too late on anyone. I've been searching around for about 45 mins and this is who i've found that we are still in it for :

All the guys listed run 4.4's or faster, are considering us, have an offer from us and are not committed anywhere.

RBs Andrew Buie, Allan Wasonga, Javorius Allen, Savon Huggins, Quan Bray, Jerron Seymour, Anthony Pierson and Alonzo Harris.

ATHs Kevin Grooms, Dominique Terrell, Damian Swann, Shane Wynn, Lafonte Thourogood and Ahmad Christian.

WRs Devin Clarke, Malcolm Mitchell, George Farmer, Sammy Watkins, Tobias Singleton, Hakeem Flowers and DeAnthony Arnett.

They may have man I was just goin by what rivals, scout and espn said about him so u know how that is. What did he do? I just posted them up to let ppl see we are still in the game for some of them because some ppl were sayin we didn't have any guys like that targeted. Dooley seems to really like the smaller hybrid type players, it's about time tennessee finally starts to get that type of playmakers.

Those recruiting services are pretty liberal on how they list recruits' interest levels in schools. Especially Rivals. I personally think Scout is a little better with lists.
