"I'm still basically at the same point. I'm looking around and I'm still committed to Washington right now. We'll see what happens towards the year with everything."

He has no set date for when he will make that final decision, but does plan to make some official visits this fall to help with his choice.

"I'm not complete with that yet. I've talked with a couple of schools but haven't set the dates yet. I've talked to Tennessee and Cal and that's about it. Tennessee said I should come out September 11 after one of our bye weeks and Cal was staying I should come up with some of the guys who are coming up there from Fresno."

word is he's a silent commit to cal.

Dude, I am sure you have heard it before, but you have an absolutely ridiculous amount of posts for a non-vol fan on this board. You have to be top 10. I am not sure whether to give you props or be disgusted... :hi::furious3:

While publically committed to Washington ? Interesting.

UW is his hometown team. he probably doesn't want to get harassed for switching.

Only thing keeps him commited to Washington is mama. Don't think he's a Cal slient, because he's not that kinda kid...This will go down to NSD.

not sure he has best's vision (something that is very underrated about best), but yes he looks very very good. we'll have to see if he recovers fully from his injury.

He hurt his knee again on his first carry during their scrimmage vs. Merced. I have seen him play a couple times and he can fly.

Central High's Bigelow waits on MRI, out for Friday

By Andy Boogaard / The Fresno Bee

Nationally ranked running back Brendon Bigelow of Central High will not play in the team's season opener at home against Paso Robles on Friday, and his immediate future is on hold pending the results of an MRI on his knee.

It's the same knee that required surgery after he tore an ACL late in the Grizzlies' final game of 2009 -- a 27-21 loss to Liberty-Bakersfield in the quarterfinals of the Central Section Division I playoffs.

Bigelow tweaked the knee without being hit in a scrimmage two weeks ago and hasn't been involved in contact since. He didn't practice Wednesday, but had earlier in the week, Central coach Casey Quinn said.

"We want to make sure he's 100% and his mind's right before he plays [in a game]," Quinn said.

Central athletic director James Gambrell said results of the MRI taken last week were expected to be known Wednesday. He then deferred to Quinn, who said: "No one knows the results."

As a running back, Bigelow is ranked No. 1 in the state and No. 6 nationally by Rivals.com. And the website has him No. 3 regardless of position in the state.

Wow. I haven't heard anything about this kid, at least in a long time. So I have no clue where we stand with him. I see he is a soft commit to UW. Is there a legitimate shot here LV, or is this just a free trip?
