That entire thing was blown up from nothing into something for two very real reasons:

The player's dad was an ESPN personality that had been lobbying for his lazy son to get more playing time (which Leach rebuffed).

And Texas Tech owed Leach a LOT of contract money, so they used the accusations to fire him for fake cause the dayu before payment was to be made. (TTU claimed sovereign immunity to escape damages. Not that they were innocent, mind you, just that they couldn't be sued for what they did.)

The player in question laughed about it under oath and said he thought it was funny at the time. If he wasn't too worried about Leach's actions, what say you switch to decaf as well?

Not thrilled with this either. He is better than Doeren but why they refuse to go after Kiffin pisses me off. He would win immediately. Or a Steele and Tee combo would be better than Leach. Leach will never be better than 8-9 wins a year. :realmad:

man we are the fan base of misery ... Leach is a homerun, all we need is to put a all star staff around him, our Offense has been horrible last five years (Thank GOD for DOBBS) our defense has been horrible last two years.. We have a chance to bring in a HomeRun Offense all we need is a defense

While I think Kiffin is a solid coach.. he couldn't get 11 wins at USC, think he could of gotten 11 wins at Texas Tech?

He won, and won in a pretty big way, at Texas Tech and Washington State. He turned those programs from dumpster fires into conference competitors. What do you think he could do with Tennessee's resources at his disposal?

Why do I keep hearing this thought? He has to get 4 and 5 stars to be able to do anything with them.

It's the same tired argument as get him a good DC and he will be fine. Well....why hasn't he ever hired a good DC?
