Not thrilled with this either. He is better than Doeren but why they refuse to go after Kiffin pisses me off. He would win immediately. Or a Steele and Tee combo would be better than Leach. Leach will never be better than 8-9 wins a year. :realmad:

I'm not a fan of gimmick offenses at all. We get better with Leach, but we won't get to the promised land. I wish we could stipulate that he has to hire a top DC, but he will probably bring whoever he has now. All in all it could be much worse!
The Vols and Leach have not negotiated, and a deal between the two is not imminent, a source told ESPN.
From article this morning.
Mike Leach of Washington State met with Tennessee to discuss head-coaching vacancy
Question 1: Will Vol Nation still support Leach if he comes to the podium and addresses the fan base letting them know that they will not influence him in any way? He seems pretty strong willed and opinionated. If he puts "Volnation in it's place" so to speak will there be a revolt? Legitimate Question..because if hired he'll have to address the 3 ring circus that's been in town..
Question 2: Do we think he'll have the cahonies to put the Haslams in their place?
