Tony Barnhart/Doug Matthews have added Phil Fulmer to the 2-3pm show for those of you in the nashville area.
He is doing a good job thus far.

Thanks for the update, velovol. I'm typically at work during that time, but will tune in when I can. I can see 'ole Phil being good at this.

I listen all day/everyday (cause there's not another sports talk station here). Dm is the only "pro tn" person on the station. It's just a matter of time before him & phil turn into the rest of the clowns!

It will be interesting to see how he handles callers who start to question CLK and the Vols once the season starts; or how he handles those who over the top supportive of the new Vols coaching staff.

I think ole Phil will speak with total class regardless. He's a great man, it was just his time to move on.

I dont think he is taking any calls. The more they talked about it, I think it will only be the last half hour of the show.
He did speak highly of E BErry calling him one of his 5 greatest.

If he doesn't take calls, it just re-emphasizes the belief that he willingly distanced himself from the fans til the bitter end. He had scripted callers on Vol Calls and I never heard him actually do a show live at Texas Roadhouse the entire time.

I like CPF (and i support the new staff)
but I cant disagree with that, he lives in his own world

Maybe he can afford rent now that he's moved out of Stokley. He can afford to move into his own office where his ex boss and replacement won't heckle him anymore.

I think they have an agreement that Coach Fulmer will talk about college football in general, coaching, etc. and not specifically talk about the Vols.

Then he is adding nothing to the show... I could just as well be listening to Jimmy Hyams.
