This team gave us everything they had. The sad fact is, we just aren't that good anymore.

I'm so incredibly proud of the defense tonight. Yes, they gave up like 460 yards, but they were on the field so incredibly long, and they were knocking people around.

good encompasses a lot of things. I think we still have talent and can get players in the right positions to make the right plays most of the time, but I think our teams have lacked a true leader to hold people accountable for several years. Since the staff would never consider holding someone accountable (or at least it appears that way) players have to fill that void and get people to be accountable to one another. Without that, we've been a rudderless ship to some degree and it has made us look mediocre.

Yeah every years different in college ball. Guys come and go. Yeah we have some upcoming players. I agree with hat we seem to be down on talent compared with the LSU'S and Florida's of the world. This years class offers little hope for relief from this trend. Even recruiting is slipping on CPF.

I think we had a good run. We fought back after the Bama loss and won five that we had to win. The unfortunate part is that we had this game. With all the injuries LSU had before and during the game, there was no reason we should have lost. I just hope that we can play better next year. Living in Alabama is tough when you lose to them plus we play Auburn next year.

I'm very disappointed. LSU was flat and beat up and UT played well enough to win. They just couldn't close the deal.

I was impressed with the slobber knocking hits, all out making them feel. That set the tone for the offense to come and just slay, but as Gump said, "It happens".

To say recruiting is slipping after we had a consensus top 2-3 recruiting class is pretty much a stretch...I'll be happy with a top 25 if we recruit kids who fill holes that were left after last year...

Recruiting is not the problem, coaching and motivating seem to be it...

I think they did give everything they had and I'm proud of that.

But I think you are right. Overall, we just aren't very good anymore.

Mayo and Berry are playmakers on defense. On offense I see talent but no playmakers. I would say Foster but he runs east and west to much.

I agree with you hat to a point. Had we been able to make adjustments at key times during the game we would have won I believe. Pelini out-coached and out-witted Cut making Cut out-think his own game plan.

Our D did stand up when it mattered. I thought play calling was good and I thought we did a great job of playing physical, but just a bit short in the end

That is eerily relevant.
