I’m gonna be real. We won because their backup was horrible. A decent QB back there and they beat us easily last night.

Did you not watch Ole Miss, 2nd half of South Carolina, or Purdue game last year?

This offense is overrated. People love to scream about our terrible defense but refuse to mention how this luke warm offense puts them in bad situations time and time again


Heupel needs to hire a better offensive mind and let him build on the offense.

No way in hell we EVER beat Bama or UGA with that pedestrian effort out offense gave

And here's the thing. To beat Florida we almost need to play the opposite on D. Keep their QB contained and play bend but dont break defense. Without the mobility of their QB, their offense is terrible.

If Tillman catches that easy TD pass instead of it bouncing off of his facemask we dont go into overtime. If we dont give up those 2 ridiculous long TD plays the game is never in question. If we dont fall asleep on special teams and give them a blocked punt and fumble a punt return the game is REALLY never in question.

We can "coulda woulda shoulda" all day but the bottom line is we won! Ugly as it was, a W is a W.

They had a good starting QB, that we knocked out of the game. Their D was considered very good. We will see how they play the rest of the year to see how good they are. Continue to whine and complain about our team, must be a lot of work to look for all the black clouds behind the silver lining.

I was feeling better about the defense until you posted this. Unfortunately, I think you may be right. Time will tell.

It's not like anyone here doesn't realize we need improvement, but they obviously "have higher expectations" because they puff up their internet chests and criticize everything.

"Just win baby" is bull**** from some.

And UT uncharacteristically muffed a punt, dropped passes, had Hooker start a game cold, played without a LB and probably their best punt returner...

They "lost" their QB because UT poured on the heat. UT shot themselves in the foot in every imaginable way... and still found a way to win in the end.


What you actually saw in that game was one team playing over their head and another stumbling around for most of the game on O.

I give our D credit they looked worlds better than last years, and even last weeks, defense. If last nights defense shows up for the rest of this season, we should finish with a top 15 team and maybe even punch through into the top 10 with a convincing bowl win.
