one thing i find amazing is that the libs constantly preach alternative fuels but after evert example of alternative energy give, the next phrase is always like something like. "the technology still hasn't been developed yet"

the fact is that all these alternatve energy solutions will take years to develope to where the average person will be able to buy. until that time, we and the economy will continue to suffer until we have to rely on the government for everything. it's a shame.

No joke... some would argue that this is the perfect time to do it. If the government raises the gas tax, it would curb demand and drive prices down. The money raised on the increased taxes would go towards alternative energy research. :ermm:

Again, I'm being dead serious... that philosophy is floated around.

that would be great if the residents were the ones screwing the roads. I'm going to be paying more because there is a huge port here.

I'm all for high prices to snap the US out of it's addiction but I feel the ones making the problems really need to foot the bill.

maybe everybody should start talking about an oil bubble, since it's proven that if some sheikh sneezes too loud, the speculators will wet themselves and push oil higher.

or start talking about peak oil....

China and India's petroleum consumption is increasing by 20% a year. Following the rule of 72 their consumption will double soon. Oil companies aren't keeping up with demand.

The markets suck..Oil just keeps going up. Someone please help the $ out so this blood bath will stop.

That's why we need to start drilling now AND build some more refineries.

Well Bush is opening up offshore drilling, or trying to anyway. Needs Congress to do their part. Congress' ban ends on Sept. 30, are they dumb enough to renew the ban?

hot button issue, they almost have to. Pelosi came out with a release saying she wanted to open up some of our reserve........ I sure hope there is more to her plan than a drop in the bucket.
