This game isnt even a lock to be a night.

do the tv stations give us our gametimes or who decides?
(serious question.. iv'e always wondered if it is espn or cbs who tells us when to play)

because if the tv station is giving our gametimes, the original ost said that ESPN was wanting to air a blackout game... if thats the case and we were to tell ESPN that we would pull it off, wouldnt ESPN surely give us a night game?

(if it is the tv stations that give the air time)

so yea.. seeing how the originator said espn wanted to air a blackout game. then we would "almost" be guaranteed a night time game if we did it then. would just make sense for espn to put us on a night slot

This would be a huge game for us, if this happened then it could be a huge recruiting tool.

When recruits see a place where the fans have glow sticks and everyones going crazy while we're in a black out...

They'll want to come here.

If you blackout they will come.

actually I hate the K the coach avatar...
Bush had it first and I see S the coach in bammer every dam day and they copied it.
we don't need to copy a copy.

Coach O had it at OM before Saban so the bammers ripped him off too (they won't like an angry Coach O)

Black out is a dumb idea, especially since BLACK IS NOT ONE OF OUR COLORS.

I think a black out is stupid... it's not one of our colors but it is one of sc jr's. even if we have orange glow sticks.... :horse:

I have heard this argument way too much lately,,, our colors are orange and white, in case some of you forgot... what about a white out with orange sticks?

leave the black to the team in mourning,, the cocks.

Its amazing how people go nuts about black clothes, lol. U dont see USC, ND, Penn State, Texas, and UF going blackout. We are UT and we wear orange, thats all. UGA blacked out Bama and got spanked. Oh yeah MTSU blacked out memphis earlier this year, I mean its just a ploy to make money and get attention, UT makes all the money we need and have as much attention as u can have with a 33 year-ol-coach with a playboy playmate caliber wife.

Yeah, Penn State always has white-outs and UF had a blue-out against us this year.

Why do we need to change our traditions because another school did it? The black out at Georgia was STUPID, just like it would be STUPID at UT. We are the Orange and White, the Big Orange? Get over it!!

The game will be at night. CBS will get first dibs and will take the (politically incorrect) cocktail party. It would be cool if we wore all orange and USCjr wore all black. This could be a possibillity with the change in the rule allowing both teams to wear solid colors.

If we were doing a black-out USCjr and Halloween would be good. I get ticked every time I look at one of my Neyland panoramic framed prints. South Carolina infiltrated Neyland there is way too much black in the stadium and in my picture.

Very true. I have that print, I believe it is call "34 yard line" for obvious reasons(Vols are lined up on their own 34 yard lined or the 37 yard line. I am at work and I forget). The game was in 2005, when we were in the middle of our 1st losing season in 17 years. But you are right way too much black in the stadium.

I said this before, are you really not going to watch the game, or turn around and walk out the gate(if you go to the game) if you see the team come out with some form of black on whether it be pants or jersey? I think the resounding answer with everyone here is NO.

It's just become funny clicking all these threads about the uniforms to read what everyone is saying. You have what I would think are the younger members that are photoshopping all kinds of crazy combos whether it be orange, white, black or even metallic:)sick:). Then you have the more traditional members who pretty much stick with the "WE ARE A TRADITION RICH SCHOOL, OUR COLORS ARE ORANGE AND WHITE!!!" argument. And then you have what seems to be this little group that says, "yea I think it'd be a cool twist to mix things up for a game". I don't think anyone is wanting the black uniforms for long term, and if they are, I agree with the traditionalists, that's just crazy "our colors are orange and white" :eek:lol:

Regardless none of us are going to have a say in if they wear black or not; and like I said above, I think it's safe to say we'll all still be there cheering the team on.

No doubt I would still watch the game. I just look at it as anything else. You give an inch, they take a mile. And thats what it would be. One time this year, then two times next year, so on and so forth, until we are the orange, white, black and grey, but sometimes we are the all black big orange!

That is the one I am talking about. Way too much black in the stadium.
