I remember that day (or night rather) well. You could hear Cash being played in every bar in town.

I still get chills whenever I hear "God's Gonna Cut You Down." And I will argue that his cover of Hurt was arguably the best cover of all time (him and Chris Cornel's slow version of Billie Jean are my top 2).

I was never a country fan, but Cash was easily one of the best musicians the world will ever see. I never thought of him as country. I just thought of his style as music.
