Everyone knows that Michigan has won more games than any team. We know that because ESPN loves to remind us. But, Michigan also played more seasons than any team (128 years). So, I took the top 10 winningest programs and showed you average wins per year (a more accurate measure of the winningest programs). Then, I multiplied the average by 128 years so that you can see how many games each team would have won had they played as many games as Michigan. Here goes:
Rank Team Avg Wins/Season Total Wins (128)
1. TX 7.1304 913
2. AL 6.9646 891
3. TN 6.9369 888
4. ND 6.9243 886
5. OK 6.8938 882
6. NE 6.8474 876
7. MI 6.7890 869
8. OS 6.7627 866
9. SC 6.5565 839
10. PS 6.5206 834
Just another reason why you all should not believe the hype that Tennessee is an inferior program throughout the history of CF.
I read this on another site and thought that it was very, very interesting.
