'10 WA QB Garrett Grayson

There is nothing clear about it. Bray got an offer so everyone here has taken the orange pill. Grayson has far better stats playing QB, far better measurables, and has been judged head to head as the more accurate.

Anyone saying right now Bray is somehow CLEARLY better is CLEARLY not seeing things straight.

And I most certainly can judge him by his myspace he made it. It represents him. He is cussing all over it. Talking about raping things and drinking. Parents raised him well dude. How is that stuff your smoking?

You have lost your way, my friend...

Did ESPN say that or you? I don't know who the better QB is. I don't even have an opinion on the matter, but the way some of you go on you'd think you were on staff.... Maybe you should be.

Brett Nottingham a big winner at Las Vegas Elite 11 camp - ESPN

Rettig was not the only quarterback we saw in person for the second time this week, as Bray also attended at the USC Rising Stars camp. Bray is a tall quarterback prospect (6-6, 189 pounds) whose build is rangy and lean. He will need to add bulk to his frame. Although he comes across as skinny, his future looks bright from a physical standpoint because he is a late bloomer in that department. His father, who was in attendance, is a big gentleman, so there is hope that the younger Bray could fill out. Once he gets into a college weight program and focuses on one sport, he should be able to pack on size.

Of the many top passers at the camp, Bray certainly looked to be one who still needed development. Yet he showed flashes of being a real sleeper in this quarterback class, especially toward the end of the workout Saturday. In work with the receivers, he showed nice touch on his deep balls with his high release. He also displayed accuracy on intermediate throws and good tools. He would be a great steal for a program that already has an established underclassman quarterback and could take Bray and develop him over time.

I added years ny inferring from what they said. He is a 2010 recruit over time to me means atleast 2012.

But you think Grayson can pop in and run agaisn't the SEC?

I think Grayson can go by 2011 but nothing is for sure. He could be a bust too sure. I would much rather have Jones or Heaps sure. They are closer to a sure bet but nothing is. Amongst the second tier QBs which Bray certainly is I prefer Grayson for reason already stated.

What do you see in Rettig besides a good arm? You gotta get over the Aircraft Carrier thing. He plays Basketball and Baseball. Give me Paul Jones and Bray and i'll be happy.
Rettig actually runs pretty well (4.7 40)...ran out of the Spread, like many prospects now do. Can't do that with Water-Ski's fused to your ankles. :)
(in this link, you'll have to click on Rettig's highlights)

What's more is that one of the things Recruiting analysts were raving about Rettig was his footwork...specifically his ability to get into his drops very quickly.

I'm sorry, but you don't have to be real agile to post up under the basket, nor to play outfielder in baseball.
footspeed and agility does have a big role to play in football...in case you haven't noticed. QB's without it are fast becoming an extinct species (because more and more HS's and Colleges are going to the Spread)

I am going to sleep. Good converstaion. I hope that soon enough we sign, Heaps, Bell, Scroggins or Jones, and we dont have to have this convo anymore.

The reason many high school teams use the spread is because they don't have a QB who can run a pro-style offense effectively. Think about how often a high school QB gets turned into a WR or DB in college.

I want Grayson because he wants to be a Vol,and also he looks like a better athlete than Bray.
And it sounds like Bray wants to drag things out until somewhere in the fall.

Grayson gives you all the accuracy and arm strength, leadership, and overall athleticism....right away, cause he deems it a PRIVILEGE to follow in Peyton's footsteps here at Tennessee (not just another option to consider). He'll end up at least a 4*, IMO, by half way through the fall, once these recruting services update their boards.

That's a ridiculous statement, considering how many we're recruiting that run a spread offense currently in HS...and yet we think THEY CAN RUN A PRO-STYLE OFFENSE EFFECTIVELY!
In a few isolated cases, maybe...but to say that is to ignore the fact, like it or not, that the spread is becoming fashionable to say the least....why? Cause it's effective. Until someone finds a way to completely shut it down consistently, it's going to continue to grow

The offers and the main Elite 11 Invite with 2nd MVP and most upside end this conversation. Nothing else needs to be said.[/QUOTE

So what are you going to say when Grayson gets offers?

And just keep ignoring the fact Bray and Grayson squared off one was better.

All people are saying about Bray is potential potential potential...as of right now Grayson is a better QB.

Bray did not improve from sophmore to junior year. Go to his myspace and read and he is clearly a douche. He has bust written all over him.
Upside...we keep hearing about this "Upside." Please elaborate just WHAT this upside is, specifically.

He looks like a Nazi death camp prisoner NOW....but "might" put some pounds on in a few years? THAT is the upside they are talking about? :birgits_giggle:

Grayson can't put some more muscle on too, in a college S&C program?

Hey Jewbacca you really do like this kid huh. Whats he rank for you overall with every QB?
