'10 WA QB Garrett Grayson

[["My high school coach had talked to the staff at Tennessee and sent them film in the spring, and then after the Elite 11 and after I set up the trip to Louisville they told us to stop by if we got the chance," Grayson said of the Vols' involvement.

yeah we have no interest. Glad all the haters are on top of this one.

It pretty much said we missed on a few people but this kid is still really good says he has elite accuracy and runs a 4.62

you think Webb is better that Father Ryan? One thing we could do when I was in school was fight. We didnt win many games, but we won the parking lot.

Webb kids don't fight. We hire lawyers. :)

I can't remember one fight at Webb though seriously.

its a little telling that Grayson didnt even meet with a single offensive coach, just CEO. They werent on campus and it was a rushed thing, but still....
If Coach O had to fly up to handle this guy's visit, while the rest were on vacation, I don't see how the kid can claim he was disappointed. You wouldn't just drop in on Pete Carroll while they are on a much needed vacation, would you?

LOL rich kid. just kidding I am a Webb guy, if you know what that it is. It is that private school way better then any Catholic sissy school.

So what does it say?

Webb sucks but they have the most gorgeous field I've ever played on. It was even better that we played on a Saturday afternoon.

Grayson said he loved it the other guy was full of it and a troll.

His name is Westcoast FB he came on here talking up a storm then said Grayson hated his trip. Yet Grayson is quoted saying he loved the trip. Said that he heard that on the radio in WA. Cuz you know that is the stuff that makes radio that quickly.

they may or may not be in town. Orgeron has been going back and forth between Knoxville and Destin as recruits show up. Its supposed to be vacation this month so they may be gone. I'm almost certain Monte is in Tampa and wouldn't be surprsied if Lane and family also down there

They were absolutely in town but some reports have said that Kiffin never had a meeting with him and it was far from rolling out the red carpet that we did for Scroggins.

Prototypical Slow play IMO.

And I understand it. I mean having CEO come out give up his day and give a tour is not nothing. If you calculate what he makes per hour. That is one expensive tour guide. And I did not see where it said Kiffin did not meet him but who knows.

He is not Scroggins. He should not get that treatment. But I would offer the kid right after Scroggins announces if it is in the negative. JMO When lined up against a Mason or Baty or Manley this kid shines brighter. And then we can go after someone in 2011. But wouldn't be surprised if Grayson develops rapidly if here. Smart and work ethic and A+ athleticism. I don't see anyone better coming along but you do not know. I will just have to trust coaches.

Sure hope he gets to be best buds with Willis and C. Miller. NFL scouts and former coaching associates of Monte's will be wearing his ear off in a few years with a group like this?
Jew know something we don't? :)

His coach said he was going to commit at the camp in Oregon along with Bailey. The camp is tomorrow and Thursday. TFWIW.

Last time I was at a school like that was middle school. Bearden Middle right when they closed down one school and put it together with Bearden. We were way over the fire code. There were guys getting bloody noses in between classes regularly and teachers hid in rooms. Main reason my parents sent me to Webb. I saw kids threaten teachers fairly often. I was so appreciative of Webb. Totally different reality. Look like you are taking the opposite course in life lessons.

I saw a teacher get hit so hard she got a concussion... But yeah ooltewah is decent academically but the discipline is so bad. We have 6 police officers that patrol the school everyday

Thanks....I'll just be glad for this to be over. So we can move on with or without him. From the moment he said he was going to push his decision all the way to July 25th...I knew we'd have trouble with the other guys on the board, trying to keep them in a holding pattern for 6 weeks at a point when most elite QB's are either committed or are about to, is a recipe for trouble.

Looking like it's going to be a shut out on the top QB's that Kiffin assumed he was going to get...the ones who were supposed to beat out Tajh Boyd. He bet the farm on Jesse, and now Scroggins is going to show him just how foolish it was to do so.

I hate to see the word "troll" come up on message boards...I'm just giving you the info that I hear. There was nothing "published" about Garrett not liking his trip to Tennessee. Like I said, he's the type of kid that wants nothing but to play in the toughest conference, the loudest stadiums, and in front of 109,000 of you crazy Southerners.

Clark County (where Heritage is) has about half a million people in it. Our kids battle on the football field, but are actually pretty close off of it. Compared to the rest of the state, we are pretty remote, so when a team from our area competes in the state playoffs (regardless of rivalry), we are there to support them. When a player from our area gets selected to all-state teams/games/etc, we are there to support them. Coaches get along well, too. It's that closeness that makes us so competitive against each other. We'll do whatever it takes to beat the piss out of each other, but we'll shake hands and possibly have a brew after. PS- "ya'll" can't handle NW beer.

From what one of my players said, Garrett's trip was (I'll say it again) less than stellar. He loved Knoxville, loved the school, loved the people, LOVED the stadium, but...Coach Kiffin did not meet him. No offensive coach did. The OC was in a meeting. From what I was told, Garrett loved the place, but felt snubbed by the staff. The coaches from Louisville were up front with him and told him that they offered two other QBs and had to wait before pursuing Garrett.

Garrett willed his team to the playoffs last season. He is the real deal.

Dude--sure all I can say is Louisville took a commit I have heard so that boat sailed. He enjoyed trip I am sure if he did not meet Kiffin or Chaney it was a bummer. I truly hope he gets their eye.
