I searched a couldnt find a thread on him. Behind maybe Jake Heaps this is a guy i definitely want. Plays on the same HS team as Jerod Askew so that can't hurt. 6'2 215. Has thrown for 65+ TDs in his sophomore and junior years. He's gonna be a beast.

I don't know anything, but since Askew was committed to us for 5 months and then signed I think we are one of his leaders.

I have offers from Alabama, Clemson, Tennessee, Boston College, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia," he said. "I feel LSU, Oklahoma, North Carolina and Oregon are close to offering. I can't remember the other offers, but I've got around 14 or 15."

"Right now I'm pretty wide open," he said. "I'm paying everybody attention. It's early in recruiting and I'm not in a position to write anybody off. A lot of stuff can change. Right now my plan is to announce at whichever All-American game I'll play in. That seems like something neat to do."

"I'm going to Alabama over spring break," he said. "I was looking to get down to LSU for a junior day. I've already been to Clemson and Georgia."

"For me, I want to prepare myself more under center," he said. "I want to be more of a prototypical dropback passer. I want to make reads better and you can always improve your decision making, being quicker and faster.

Yeah...I'm pretty high on this kid too.

When I 1st heard Phillip Sims, I pictured a shy, blonde, lanky kid with a grin.

Not so much. This kid is an impressive athlete with a heckuva touch. Heaps is gonna be great too, but I think at this point I'd rather have Sims.

Sims is an awesome Prospect. Top 3 QB prospect in Nation.
If we land this kid heads will turn immediately.

If Heaps will come out and say he isn't going to leave. His stock will go Through the Roof.

I think if we can get a verbal from him early...we have time to sway him away from taking his mission trip. Sounds dirty, but I like it.

Hasn't he said how he's looking to see if he could take his mission like later in his life, or get a shorter one (like around a year maybe?)?

Not every Mormon takes a year mission at that time.... Steve Young didnt. (If SY isnt mormon, excuse the ignorance, I just read an article saying he was)

I cant choose who i want more Heaps or Sims but if Heaps takes that mission i want Sims!

askew will be a big help w/ this no doubt he will be one of his hosts if he visits
