Do you really think our coaching staff expects to get every Memphis or TN recruit? You guys will be worse this year and either Ole Miss or LSU will win the SECW. We'll see how you guys recruit next year with a full roster and a disappointing season.

Apples to oranges this year. UT had about 3 weeks to lock it down, while Saban's been working over a year.

Give this time, CLK just started talking to 2010 recruits last week... SATAN has been at it for a few years. Maybe TN gets him... maybe he doesn't but don't count us out... UF did and it bit them in the butt twice and TN had only 3 weeks to do it!

FWIW. Its odd because I though Coach Thompson said UT was going to lock down Memphis like he locked down Mobile. I also thought he said Nick Saban was not going to get anymore of "his" recruits. :dance2::rock:

No doubt he was the one who got the guy to consider Bama at all. And he'll be the one to come take him away at Signing Day.

Obviously, there is time to get this verbal commit to change - and I hope we do. But the main point is more subtle:

LThompson shoots off about locking down the state and specifically Memphis, and Saban pulls a commitment out of Memphis the very next day.

And remember, Kiffin also said yesterday that Bama owed its great class to Thompson...yet none of those recruits followed him up here.

I hope it all comes back to bite Bama, but for now this is definitely Saban rubbing LT's nose in it a bit.

He had a UT offer and chose UA....thats called you got beat for another one. Olepiss or lsu both have shots at winning the west, but your kidding yourself if you think UA isnt in the mix. NS will just keep reloading just like he did for LSU. Proven that already.

If I were a bama fan, I'd be worried more about saban looking for nfl jobs than getting some thug recruit out of memphis. Saban will head to the nfl when the first big offer comes his way.

Bama is giving us way to much time to change his mind. O will take this as a challenge, especially after missing Brown.
