O.C. Brown is now a four-star, ranked the #4 offensive guard in the country.

Please staff, go out and get him!!!!

O.C. Brown Profile - Football Recruiting

Who cares how good Rivals thinks he is?

If our coaches evaluate him and think he fits what they want to do, they will go after him.

They obviously don't think he is at that level on their board or he would already have an offer. Let the coaches get him in to camp and test him out before we pine over him like he is the next can't miss TN kid.. aka Chris Donald! (whoops)

well before that, they didnt really make any contact with him. Thats where I get that from. but I agree with you, they have picked it up on him. I really hope we pull him and Stone.

from everything I've seen and heard Coach O wants to see Olineman in person and in camps to truly evaluate them. Unless it is an obvious offer like Sentreal Henderson... the coaches want to see them live and watched as much film as possible before offering. It's such a tough position to predict on just tape or word of mouth. The easiest to miss on..thus the preference of holding offers till having the chance to coach them in a camp.

Everyone can stop worrying about poor O.C. He will camp at TN on 6/1 but he will not commit if offered.

He will camp at AR and OU the following week.

He has also promised to camp @ Alabama and LSU.

As stated it is perfectly understandable for the coaching staff to want to wait and see @ camp before offering. It should be understandable for a kid to see all of his options as well.

The schools want to see all their options and make the best choice. It is no different for the players.

P.S.
There is a good chance he will wind up as a 3 technique anyway.

You should see the boy play DT. Lets face it the 6'2 thing has hurt him. It's an inch or 2 shorther than ideal for a guard but perfect for a DT. You may be right but he is athletic enough to play defense.

I don't doubt the athleticism, but even if he was on Defense I would think he'd be a nose.

Maybe so but DT's typically don't flip flop. Can't say I know for sure about Monte's D. Typically DT's will play a shade nose or 3 in an even front depending on the strong side. Therefore most DT's play both the 3 and the shade.

Monte's D employs a nose and an under tackle.

I assumed we had. Is this not the kid in memphis that Kiffin told the coach that he was the first prospect he visited as head coach?

guess we feel we have better OL on board...this staff appears to know their stuff....i say we trust their evaluations and see what happens
