Fred Harvey, from White Station in Memphis, has Alabama on top right now, per BOL. He put up great numbers last year with 21 sacks. He's a little smaller than the LBs we have signed lately, but he seems to be a great athlete. He's also qualified with a 4.3 GPA and 20 on the ACT. It will be interesting to see how much his offer list grows, but he seems to be catching the eye of plenty of programs right now. Coach Saban is definitely putting a priority on Memphis this year. If Harvey indeed has a commitable offer, and is that high on our list, he'll go nicely with Justin Maclin and Harrison Jones, both of the Memphis area.

Does anyone else have ideas where he falls on our list of prospects at LBs?

He should be high on the list not just because of the fisical stats but look at his gpa and sat. This is the kind of kids we need.

I'm not sure, but that name just SOUNDS like a LB to me for some reason. I envision someone that would hit you so hard you'd get up blowing snot bubbles! lol

Seems small, but could probably play Saftey??? I'm not convinced that he will stick at lb for any program. But who am I to say.

"It actually means a lot that they were the first to offer," Harvey told RedRaiderSports.com this February. "It's saying that they really do want me to come there. A lot of athletes will want to go to the school that's pursuing them. They really want me to come there so I can really have a chance at playing and that's the kind of school I want to go to."

Think Coach O knows what he's doing? Being the first one to offer means a lot to these kids
