1. Many of my past criticisms of Phillip Fulmer have centered on personality issues. Those were extraneous to the debate and I apologize.
2. I have steadfastly defended John Chavis. I can't do that after today.
3. The play of our team in the second half was an embarassment to every player, ex-player, coach and fan of the University of Tennessee. If guys don't want to play, find people who do. There shouldn't be a single position that isn't up for grabs this week.
4. Pat Riley once talked about how once your players quit responding to your voice, you never get them back. UT's staff has reached that point.
5. Each defensive lineman should look in the mirror this week. Their collective play was abysmal.
6. Our fans who said Saban's impact was being overrated look exceptionally silly now.
7. Deion Sanders always talked about the need for a short memory at defensive back. I hope Eric Berry has that.
8. I hope everyone shows up next week and cheers like hell against South Carolina. The issue that has divided our fan base the last couple of years is now obviously going to be addressed at the end of the year. Time to defend our home field against Spurrier & Co.
9. DJ Hall will soon join Anthony Lucas in the pantheon of WRs who dominated us, then went on to do absolutely nothing in the NFL.
10. Look on the bright side. Major Applewhite won't be at Alabama for more than a couple of more years.

Agreed and good to see it stated like that.

Thought 4 rests solely on the problems mentioned in 1,2 and 3

Kudos Hat. These are two of the most salient points we will read about this game...and this team. Welcome to the point of no return.

Hat, you promised me they would come back and win.

:cray:
I'm absolutely stunned that we were unable to muster any pass rush against a team playing without two starters on what was a mediocre offensive line to begin with.

I agree that this is the right thing to do. However, for those serious about wanting a change, the only way it'll happen is if there are empty seats in Neyland Stadium.

Hat, do you realistically think Fulmer will be gone at the end of the year? Whats your thoughts after this debacle?

How in the hell does Chavis not change gears? If they keep throwing on me every time I will blitz the sideline if it will help.

Spurrier owns Phil
I will root for my Vols, but I don't expect to win, nor will I set myself up with high hopes for a win for the rest of this year. If we win it will just be a nice surprise. I'm done with Phil and Co.
Damn it, we sit around all year long with high hopes of having a good team and winning these types of game only to be kicked in the teeth and have to wait knowing BS team beat you the year before and hope that next year will b different. I'm so pissed I can't see straight.

Personally, I'm no alum and due to where I live I rarely get to see the Vols play. We can all get caught up in a "boycott" of sorts to try to force the hand of Hamilton to make a change. Just because today's been miserable and the recent past dictates mediocrity, I will not give up on our Vols. I agree completely with Hat in that next week we should go all out in support of our Vols. The coaching issue is a topic for the end of the year. I may have cried a little today, but at least my tears were still orange...

the general UT population will not accept that statement. there is gonna be a firestorm until the minute Fulmer resigns/gets released.

It sad when we make every mediocre qb in america look deserving of a heisman trophy. No words describe how bad this is.

Nah. This is tentamount to rooting for losses, imo. Sometimes the thing that might produce the desired effect, is still the wrong thing to do. Hat is right about picking ourselves up to keep on rooting. Isn't that what a fan does?
