'10 SC DE Brandon Willis

For real. He built up enough talent in Miami that even Larry freaking Coker could win a national title

Lane Kiffin got to a better bowl in year uno than Davis has at year 3.

Kiffin received the program in not much better condition as Davis received UNC.

We are a better football program traditionally and currently.

There is no comparison.

Orgeron > Blake
UT > UNC
Monte Kiffin > Anyone UNC has

Come on... seriously? Is location even closer to home?? His best friend doesn't play at UNC, he's committed to play at UT.

Butch Davis is one of the best recruiters in CFB history. Throw that in there...

I'm not sure about that. If Davis and Blake are such great recruiters, why are they currently ranked 42nd in the Rivals recruiting rankings with about six weeks to go until signing day? Even if they steal Willis, they will have a hard time cracking the top 25 in recruiting this year. Don't get me wrong, I think Davis is a good recruiter, and I do respect what he did at Miami. However, I think he is starting to see how hard it is to recruit at a place like North Carolina. They have a small stadium that seats less than 50,000, a fanbase that isn't all that interested in football, and they play in a subpar conference. I think he is going to have a really hard time duplicating what he did in the recruiting hotbed of south Florida. After getting a top ten class last year, most UNC fans thought that their program was going to become a recruiting juggernaut, but it doesn't seem to be materializing this year. They have lost several big recruiting battles with more traditional football programs, and reality seems to be setting in with their fanbase. I think Davis will consistently get their program to 8-9 wins, but he will be hardpressed to do better than that.

Does anyone think we can get Jazz King to come to UT because didnt he come on the visit with Miller and Willis I think he could be a diamond in the rough

I'm not really talking about rankings. Rankings are meaningless. I'm talking about finding talent. He is very good at it...

I'm not sure if he would come here but he does have some talent.

As if we don't have the exact same type of coaches? This is not a good argument as to why he would enroll at UNC...

I agree. Orgeron and Davis are about the best talent evaluators out there. I wasn't arguing why he should enroll at UNC. I was just saying Butch Davis is one of the best recruiters there is....

this door will be officially closed after our in home...no way Monte, Coach O, and CLK don't close the deal with the in home visit

I wonder if Brandon watched Pitt/UNC tonight? I saw a 4th and 1 play for Pitt in the 4th quarter where UNC's D-Line was pushed back 3 yards. I'm not sure you'll see Va Tech do that to us. And they are a better team than Pitt.

Attendance at UNC's bowl game in Charlotte was 50,389 out of 73,504 capacity at Bank of America Stadium. Now that's big time college football for you! I guess the Tar Heels fans were holding out for the basketball game v. Rutgers on Monday.

Also, Butch failed to call a timeout with the game dwindling down, and screwed his team from getting the ball back with enough time. I forgot the exact moment in the game when it happened but i think it was at the end.... damn u xanax!!!

It also didnt look like there was even half that many in the stands! The music city bowl is almost a sell out, SEC is where its at, and if Mr Willis cant see that from all the negative recruiting then so be it, and he can make his home in tar heel country. (sorry for the double post)
