0. They sorry as hell.

1. We can score all over their defense. See the 2nd half of last year. I know we lost Dobbs, but Florida lost more on Defense than we did on offense. We could have scored another TD on them at the end of last year's game (42pts for the half)

2. Shoop looks at this game as the reason he was hired. Look for aggressiveness and blitzes everywhere.

3. We have the best RB in the SEC. See the stats going into week three.

4. This team has a chip on its shoulder. They've gotten no respect. They have heart and fight in them.

5. Florida has no offence. Ness!

6. Distractions and suspensions and a snitch.

7. We are due a swamp victory. Past due.

8. We are more disciplined.

9. Many of our players are back.

10. We are 2-0; Florida is looking at 0-2 and after the way we spanked them last year in the 2nd half (35-3), we are in their heads. Many of our losses during the streak were because they were in our heads. It's a mental and physical game. Not this year. It is fully reversed.

Feel free to expand upon this.

Go Vols! Vols win bigly!

Not to nitpick but if we scored another TD the score would have been 45-28 rather than 38-28.

I'm not optimistic. I don't have any real data to back this up, but it seems as though Tennessee has a track record of opposing teams and players racking up record-breaking performances against them. Especially when Tennessee, on paper, is the better team.

So even if I gave you "real data" you would still be "not optimistic" because of a suppossed track record?

How well we can get their O off the field will determine the outcome...their D is pretty down on their O anyway - if we can get them 3 and out a few times early it will soften their D...let them have a few drives and get some points and their D will be tough for 4 quarters...

1. I agree.
2. I agree.
3. I sorta agree. JK's one of the best in the SEC, but let's not rack & stack until later in the season.
4. I agree.
5. I agree.
6. I agree.
7. IDK about that; it has been a while, but not sure about 'due'.
8. I agree.
9. I agree.
10. I absolutely agree.

Bottom line is, I agree with you, brother. #wgwtfa.

Go Vols!

Why in the world are we so confident here? That was last year and we don't have the running threat at QB anymore. It will be our QB's first away game, we have our top WR hurt and a new OC. They have elite talent in their backfield and we have a lot of young unexperienced talent.

I hope we put up video game numbers on them but if Dormady throws like he did against Indiana State then that ball is picked off two more times for a total of 3ints. He also has to protect that ball and be more aware of the pass rush and blitz that'll he'll see from UF.

I've seen a lot of "just throw a bomb on them the first play" post. I don't think attacking their strengths with our weakness is a good idea especially when it's an away game. We can't afford for their defense to score points.

Data is all well and good, and I agree that UT should win this game given all of the issues going on with UF. But, it's the Gators, and Butch Jones is our head coach.

I'll try to break it down for you... Our RBs are beasts. Our offensive line will open up holes for them. QD, although we haven't seen it, has remarkable accuracy. I expect that will start to show. Yes, we lost a great receiver in JJ, but we found another in Calloway. We also have several key players back to help with that as well. Game plan and adjustments will be huge and Mac has proven to be weak in this area.

Plus, their defense doesn't look all that. I watched the Michigan game. Those pick sixes were gifts.

Plus, the team is not looking at the negatives you espoused, I assure you. They are focused.

I don't like this game. Dormady hasn't faced this hostile of a crowd, missing our most reliable receiver, we don't have Michigan's D, and I'm just not convinced Butch has enough mojo to just go down there and take care of business.

Someone explain the snitch reference

Rumor that a member (or members) of the team were feeding the police names of additional players who abused the university credit cards.

One rumor said a running back was the snitch, I think another said tight end or defensive end. Don't think anyone really knew, and it may or may not be true.

But that's the reference.

Yes on paper we should beat them, but we have Butch. He will reference the chart at some point, and run a play action draw on 3rd and 15 at some point leaving everyone scratching their heads wondering... "what in the world are we doing?"

Until proven otherwise there is a reason that we have had better talent several of the last 15 years and haven't gotten a win at the swamp.
