10 Reasons LSU will crush Tennessee

Honey Bear returns punt for td assumes we will get a punt off at all. Do you know how many kicks we have had blocked? Thats error #1. Some of these things I agree with like Defensive line (Our dear John Chavis always stops offense if he has good material and he certianly has it) Your 2 Quarterbacks ( They are better than last year but not great) error2 Your running game vs UT running game I have to agree. When we have had adaquate holes open Our tailbacks rarely see them. but with no holes open you open the door to our greatness of having negative yards rushing. Pass rush I have no doubt you have 5 sacks and 10 rushed the pass or whatever. If you really want to test us let us try an extra point if we score, or a short field goal. Our program is headed in the right direction, we still have a little to go, Enjoy it now big boy.:peace2:

1. Tyrann Mathieu - The honey badger is the best player in the country. LSU fans know expect him to force at least 1 turnover a game. I think this is the week he brings back a punt for a td.

2. Matt Simms - Simms is talking some smack about how he wants LSU blah blah blah. I can't wait until he meets big Sam Montgomery who was hurt for this game last season.

3. Playing for a championship - LSU is playing for a national championship. Tennessee is playing to go to a bowl at this point.

4. D-line depth - Mingo, Adams, Brockers, Logan, Montgomery, Ferguson, Edwards, Rasco, Agayehere, Downs will all play on Saturday. It will be a race to the qb.

5. Lack of UT running game - You have to run the ball to win, especially against LSU.

6. Atmosphere - From reading the posts on here, it appears the atmosphere in Neyland will be pretty lame besides the tiger band and fans.

7. 2 Qb's - When 2 qb's play on most teams there is a controversy, but not this one. Miles, Studrawa and Kragthrope have developed a system and gameplan that is great for both qb's.

8. John Chavis - Chavis wants to show Tennessee fans what they are missing. 3rd and Chavis is a thing of the past now that he is at LSU.

9. RB depth - LSU will pound UT with a few different running backs. Spencer Ware will wear out the dline and linebackers and then Ford & Blue will run past them.

10. Dooley - Dooley has been trying to play the "LSU is so great. It's an honor to play them" card. Miles is upset that a lesser coach in Dooley has hung with LSU the past couple of season. It won't happen again.

10. Unsupported assertion on your part; Miles' Karma may be about to present the bill to be settled ...
9. Vols will stack the box, stuff run and dare you to throw. Your offense was nothing to brag about last year and your best rb has gone on to the pros.
8. ... I am not gonna disrespect John Chavis.
7. If you play 2 qbs, it will be same 2 that almost lost it for you last year. I hope none of our defenders linger on the ground or they will get kicked in the face.
6. Atmosphere ... you have never been to Neyland, clearly.
5. Must run the ball? What LSU opponent this year has tried relying on just the pass? Another unsupported assertion.
4. D line depth -- gonna put all those DL guys in game at same time? Maybe we have OL depth.
3. The team with most to play for always wins? You must be brand new to college football. Matt Mauck knows better than what you said.
2. Simms was always confident, but talking smack? We all know he was our second best qb this year ... and yet played well enough on his part to beat you last year.
1. A honey badger might bluff down a leopard ... but would get flattened by a rhino. Please, God, let Rod Wilks be on punt coverage when Matthieu attempts return

this op guy makes me want to root for the hurricanes....i glad he wrote his statement since I've never met a lsu fan who talked well enough to understand what they were saying

10. Dooley - Dooley has been trying to play the "LSU is so great. It's an honor to play them" card. Miles is upset that a lesser coach in Dooley has hung with LSU the past couple of season. It won't happen again.

Les Miles is NEVER upset that another team hangs with LSU. On the other hand, he is constantly amazed LSU can win in spite of his coaching. This is the coach that had to start eating grass so the color commentators would stop talking about how he isn't up to coaching the level of talent he has. Hence the saying "Les with more."

LSU 37 Vols 6

To VolNation: I stopped apologizing for the asshats masquerading as LSU fans a long time ago, but this clown has me embarrassed enough to post. Hopefully you guys run into a few hospitable and friendly Tiger fans this weekend.

In response to the OP:

1. Tyrann Mathieu - Great competitor, fierce player, makes things happen, love watching every minute he's on the field ---- best player in the country?? that's a stretch even for the most diehard of fans

2. Matt Simms - taking shots at the backup QB......stay classy

3. Playing for a championship - isn't everyone until they lose the first one?

4. D-line Depth - can't disagree w/ this, overall depth seems to be a strongpoint of the team this year

5. Lack of a UT running game - another point I agree on, don't think a one-dimensional team's going to be able to beat the Tigers this year.

6. Atmosphere - Neyland ******* stadium, 102k+ Vol fans....out of your mind if you don't think they won't be fired up for the #1 team in the country coming to town

7. 2 QB's - Yeah right, history has proven this always works well, that's why everyone's doing it.

8. Chavis - Not going to turn the knife here Vol fans, but I'll just say we're glad we have him

9. RB depth - There's no Trent Richardson in the group, but they're all quality backs.

10. Dooley - I like the guy and wish him the best. I really do hope he succeeds at Tennessee.

This a a great trap game. Tennessee is scheduled between Florida and Auburn...just lying' in the weeds....

LSU is playing for a national championship, Tennessee is playing to beat LSU.

Don't overlook us.

LSU is a better team right now. But I am willing to bet that you are a fairly young guy due to the misplaced bravado evident in your post. As a "more-seasoned" individual in his forties, I remember the 1990s. And if you will consult your own team's web page, your team had THREE winning seasons in the 1990s. Out of ten years. Notice I did not say "three championship seasons". There were stretches it took you guys THREE YEARS to get to a double digit win total. Fortunes change quickly, my friend.

Valid points, but to gloat over winning on a rebuilding Tennessee team that is missing two valuable players is like saying you banged a crack whore in an alley.........so....gloat on i guess.

I agree with the exception of #7: It will be an issue........ when it rears it's ugly head who knows... maybe in your "championship" game....

I doubt many Vol fans think our team has reached crack whore status. Not a valid comparison.

Two valuable players more like 4

With Les Miles as coach...any opposing team has a chance. No telling what that lucky clown will do to put Tennessee in position to win.

Not saying we are gonna win but big upsets have happened before. I'm sure there is a lot more examples..

2007 Stanford (+55) over USC 24-23

That game was awesome. Man I just had a feeling when I started watching that one. I think Stanford was like a 30+ point underdog.
