Thanks Hat. The interview adds a nice touch to the Trap and the board; I hope there are many more.

Wow! Tough questions you hit ole Andy with. Thought you also ask him how he likes the "cheese and shrimp grits" at the Downtown Grill on the Oxford square. Ahmad Rashad would have have been proud. You might have a job with the Knoxville News-Sentinel sports department if you decide to leave the legal profession.:eek:lol:
Let me suggest a couple of not so slow ball questions you could have thrown at AK: 1) Will this be your last year at Ole Miss if they don't get rid of that cracker box gym or will you stay another year or two? 2) What do the other coaches in the league really think of Bruce Pearl and his shameless showmanship? 3) Are you still pissed off at UAB for passing over you when they got rid of Maury Bartow? 4) You know you and Jeff Lebo look a lot alike......................

Rockydoc, #2 is actually a pretty good question. I might use it as a followup. I wouldn't ask the other three because, 1. Andy knew the facilities when he took the job, 3. He didn't have the experience when Anderson took over for Bartow, and 4. He's almost a half foot taller than Lebo. I will make the questions tougher as the coaches come to realize we're not trying to set them up for trouble. We have to walk before we run.

Kudos Hat. Actually the Halfcourt Trap is very good and a welcome relief from some of the mindless drivel that sometimes occurs on the forum. You time is not unappreciated.

Nice Q & A session Hat. You really do have the inside connection.Do you plan to stay primarily in the league or branch out to others (as in Q & A with Coach Knight) or maybe I'm wishful thinking here.

I have already put a request in for Coach Knight. We'll see what happens.
Thanks.I always find it amusing when people always use the media to judge one's character.I know Coach Knight had his moments but I also know a personal story about him.A few years ago,my son was visiting his frat brother from college in Lobelville,TN.Turns out his frat brother played basketball with Kirk Haston. My son and his friend went over to Kirk's house and there was Coach Knight.Turns out he comes to Lobelville and goes fishing with Kirk form time to time.Kirk lost his mom in a tornado when he was a sophomore at Indiana.Coach Knight has stayed in close contact with him since.Pretty nice jester I think on Coach Knight's part.Pretty nice guy according to my son.

Don't tell him I would like to punch him in the face. Well, only if he verbally abuses me in public... Just kidding. I'm sure it would be a supremely interesting interview...

Nice job Hat. What is your opinion on the supposed crack down on coaches bench actions(cussing, coming on the court, etc..)? Who will have the biggest problems? Can you ask Knight his opinion if you get the chance?

I'll believe that officials are really going to crack down on coaches when I see it happen. Jim Calhoun and Gary Williams would be the two coaches I think would have the most problem if there is an actual crackdown.

Maybe Calhoun gets away with it because the refs can't understand what the hell he's saying. I know I can't.
