Yep that was an impressive defense, they also went to Miami and help them to 6 points in the old Orange Bowl.

And sometimes they still look confused getting lined up... Which means they can still get better.

The light bulb is starting to go off with the defense. Remember, the 3-4 is new to the entire group. Taylor and Bituli are really playing well. DKjr is playing better now than the first of the year.

This bodes well. Very well for the future.

Not as many busts in the secondary helped which means the entire D is getting better with their assignments. We saw multiple times where UK offensive plays were limited or halted because our people stayed with their assignments as long as necessary rather than breaking down. To me that was exciting because the young guys are learning and actually doing assignment football in the secondary. They are improving and there is room for more improvements. If UK played us earlier in the season, they would have scored 3 more TDs IMO.

But if you watch Bama, they get the call, get into position. Everyone knows what everyone else is doing. If there's motion, everyone shifts at once. Our lbs are physically moving our dl and shouting back and forth to each other. Another year in the system and the d is going to be tight.

Defense has improved for sure which is a huge testament to JP. Only game they disappointed me was USC game giving up the lead. Whole team is getting better, even the O lIne. If damn Drew Richmond would stop getting 5 yd penalties! He needs to run the stadium as a reminder!
