10 Most Underrated/Overrated College Football Traditions

Guys, this is verging on ridiculous. How in the world has a hopelessly misinformed South Carolina fan managed to take over the board? It seems as if he's railroaded every other topic with pitiful attempts to convince everybody that his team matters.

I welcome fans from opposing teams, but this one's a tool. It may be that he can't find a South Carolina board to frequent (does such a thing exist?), but he's more of a detriment than anything else.

Only a kool-aid drinking Gamecock fan could bring VN to the defense of the Bama program.

Shows just how far out of the realm of reality and logic ihateorange and his ilk reside.

The USCe pregame/entrance seemed to take forever. And then when it did come, it was pretty anti-climactic IMO.

I'm pretty sure one of those doesn't fit.

3 things about the SC pregame that I never understand:

1) Who in the world thinks it's cool to have the guy in the chicken suit appear from what looks like a shower curtain?

2) Wouldn't you feel a little worthless if you were a SC band member and instead of letting you play, they just made you stand on the field while they blared entrance music over the PA system?

3) Steve Spurrier is a great coach, but there's no way seeing him on the jumbotron saying "It's time for Carolina football" in that high pitched mountain accent could possibly pump up anybody.

:lolabove:Ok you go respect Alabama football and Kentucky football, two programs that have been worse than USC's since USC joined the SEC.

A) No one respects Kentucky football.

Alabama's Record Since 1992: 118-80-0 (130-68-0)
Tennessee's Record Since 1992: 152-48-0

SEC Championships for Tennessee since 1992: 2

SEC Championship Game Appearances for South Carolina: 0
SEC Championship Game Appearances for Alabama since 1992: 5
SEC Championship Game Appearances for Tennessee since 1992: 5

National Championships for South Carolina since 1992: 0
National Championships for Alabama since 1992: 1
National Championships for Tennessee since 1992: 1

0 Win Seasons for South Carolina Since 1992: 1
0 Win Seasons for Alabama since 1900: 0
0 Win Seasons for Tennessee since 1900: 0

Teams in the SEC with All-Time Losing Records: 2 - South Carolina (521-523-44) and Mississippi State (cfbdatawarehouse went down while I was doing this)

Don't get up IHATEORANGE4.......SMASHVILLE just delivered the knock-out punch.......stay down!

It's great that you believe in your team's potential & have hope for the future......but you can't seriously argue against the facts!

Go practice your smack talk in the Kentucky, Vandy, Miss State, etc forums....good luck!

That is the Funniest entrance to a football game I have ever seen, the Smoke Screen was cool, the music was somewhat intense, but they reveiled a goofy chicken that did a little jig or something? It reminded me of what it would look like if they had a Metallica performance on Ice....With Muppets characters.

This is by far the Greatest Entrace College football has to offer, Clemson is easily #2 as well....

I'll still take running through the T. "Enter Sandman" is the about as cliche as you can get.

Although Clemson's intro is very cool, you have to question what sane coach allows his team to run down a steep hill right before a game? It just seems like a twisted ankle or torn ACL waiting to happen.

That's pretty well put together. Although if you've ever seen it live it looks like they stole the smoke from Miami, the run in from Tennessee and the pregame use of Saliva's "Ladies and Gentlemen" from a major league baseball stadium right before the closer comes in. Still, pretty good though.

I've always thought the exact same thing . . . and God help them if somebody does fall down because it will look like a wreck at Daytona.

If you have serious D-I horses, and one of them can't navigate the hill, they deserve to fall. How many times did they fall under Danny Ford?

I'll agree on that, as much as I LOVE Enter Sandman, one of the best things about college football is the bands playing school fight songs, and just blasting rock music over the PA has a little too much of a "pro" feel to me.

Well, call me a homer, but I say that nothing beats running through the "T". Maybe part of it has to do with the size of our stadium, and 100,00+ people going crazy, but it does, and always has, made the hair on my arms stand. It starts when the band forms the power "T" and marches down the field. You can just feel the excitement start!:fireworks::groupwave:

In fact, I'm ready now!!!
